With bold confidence the pale creature strode towards the shrines, not faltering or hesitant in her steps like some might be. No, there was no reason for her to fear what was before her, for this was the place where she belonged. Here, in the presence of the Gods themselves... Or, the presence of where the Gods used to reside.

Israfel's pale, pink-hued lips turned downwards as she eyed the broken and disarrayed forms of the four great shrines, a strange feeling blossoming in her ivory bosom. Remorse, maybe? Disappointment? It bothered her to see such magnificent structures in disrepair. Uncertain as to what it was, the young Demi-Goddess took a few more steps closer before coming to a halt. While her eyes lingered upon each and every shrine, taking in the signs of apparent damage, they came to rest upon the blackened and charred shrine that belonged to her father. It was disheartening to see the shrine in such a state, but she knew that there was nothing she could do. At least, she didn't think so.

A soft huff of a breath escaped her lips. "I don't like this..." Isra murmured to herself, golden, cloven hooves shuffling beneath her pale bodice. She had come to pray, yes, but right now the thought of prayer seemed foreign to her. Could they still pray, here, in these broken-down shrines that once stood in Helovia in all of their glory? Would the Gods still hear them?

Israfel gave a scoff this time, tossing her head, tendrils of her mane whipping back from her blazing orange gaze. While she couldn't speak for the Gods of Moon, Earth, and Spark, she knew that the Sun God would appear if she prayed. Why wouldn't he? She was his daughter; created from his loins and fire personified.

"Father," Isra whispered, the words falling from her lips with little thought, "I've come today to see you." For that, indeed, was truly why she had come. The Sun God was her father, and she adored him. No... Adore wasn't a good word. Idolize. Yes, that was better. She simply wanted to prove herself to him, to show him that she was worthy of being his daughter. That he would never regret his decision to create her.

"Will you come to see your only daughter?"
