It didn't take long for the grullo stud to catch up with her, coaxing a smooth chuckle to roll out from her slightly open mouth. It also didn't help that her mind was distracted by the last things he said. Grabbing a hold of this, she used it to fuel the game. She would give him his answer, though it was more of a statement then a question. Her mind pummeled the idea, checking out its every meaning before settling on one fact that nearly left her running into a boulder.

Stumbling the mare put on the breaks, letting the crimson and grullo frame slide past her. She did want to share the cave... while the first part of the night had kept her terrified, the second part had been warm and cozy, she had actually enjoyed his sleek head resting upon her back.

Switching tactics, she lunged forward in another direction. Eyes lighting up further as she fueled the flames to her soul. "Well I see you can keep up on flat ground, what about someplace rocky?" she threw back with a taunt.

Swiftly her bodice propelled forward, as if her ancestors were running through her. Definitely not the fastest, but her mustang blood held the secrets of generations worth of building survival instincts. Faceted together with each surviving line that passed on a new foal, and ended by each death that killed off a line of weak equines.

While her body shirked from the frigid wind and biting cold, her heart and soul took it as a challenge. The trail unwound before her, mapped out with careful eyes. The first step onto the mountain's face was pre-planned, her sure-footedness ingrained in her breed landing her hooves in the right spot. Sure Voodoo could outrun her, especially on flat ground. But the rocky mountains was her home in a much drier hotter climate. Up and up she climbed, kicking out loose stones beneath her. Until finally she turned and stopped to check upon his whereabouts.

"By the way, I would love to room in your den with you. But you have to catch me again! Another tap on the flanks will do." she called down from a slight precipice a devious grin toying with her facials. It wasn't the top of the mountain but it was still quite a ways up. Turning she began her steady climb once again.
