Something soft and delicate drew the stallion from the dark recesses of his slumber. His eyelids fluttered and he inhaled a deep breath and let it out with a quick huff. The feathers of his wings ruffled as he shifted the two sets against his sides and tried to drift off again only to be disturbed by very presence of someone else. He could feel their eyes on him, boring holes into his inky hide.

Eyelids lifted, revealing startlingly blue eyes that contrasted heavily with his dark coat. As his gaze found the dark mare a glower settled on his face. He was unhappy that she had awoken him in the dead of the night when. Why was she there. She should be sleeping just as he was. Oh, ho, but she warned him, touched him. Not safe to sleep here?

"Not safe from what?" He asked with a practiced politeness. Not safe from her, he assumed. She was threatening him, much like the pale ones from home did. Warning him that she would be out for him. If that were the case then why should he move from the spot he was in?

Leliel shuffled his hooves as he stood straighter. His wings ached to be unfurled and stretched after such a long flight, but he stood watching the dark mare, glowering in a most unpleasant way. "From you?" There, he finally said it. Finally asked if she was the one that he would have to fear. The muscle in his shoulder twitched at the memory of her touch on it and he frowned, confused by the action and the gentleness of it.
