I may be crazy,
but i don't let it phase me. The timid little bird approached her. Eris' calculating and cold eyes watched her unamused, wondering why this shy little bird was game enough to approach her. She held her head high, body strong and eyes narrowed. Everything about the pretty stranger supported dominance. She introduced herself, who she worked for and then asked if Eris was seeking a home. The entire time, the golden dun did not shift position. Silence fell and Eris just continued to stare at the bold bird. Then finally, with a voice as smooth as velvet and as soft as a whisper from the wind, Eris spoke. "Curious." The response was an honest one. What she said was everything that she felt she needed to say. It was curious that such a young shadow fell pray to her innocent state, one where the murderous side did not show. Usally it was the younger ones that pulled in out, made her want to end them. Both something about this bird's pluckiness stroked her calmer side. Eris did not know how long it would last though, nor was that of any great importance. What really did matter now was getting this mare to lead her to the free lands of this part of the world. Eris considered using Accalia's name when addressing her, however she believed that the younger mare had not yet earned that right. "Yes, I am seeking a home." The honey tones where still quiet. She saw right through the other mare. "Not the home you are about to offer me though." She now fell silent watching the mare's reaction. Boredom was starting to seep through her cracks. Eris wondered if her other side was coming out. She guessed that this mare was recruiting for a group, not a herd which was perfect. The group would be living in the free lands.
