It had only been a few days in the herd land and already Myrah was lost, Helovia was as unfamiliar to her as the day she had been born... it was no wonder that the mare would find herself wandering past the borders of the lands, and... well the result was pretty clear. She had absolutely no clue where she was, or how she had managed to become turned around. Trying to retrace her steps had ended in failure and unlike being an outcast, she couldn't just keep wandering in different directions.
Groaning, her hooves slithered along a mountain path, her thoughts transfixed upon the thought that just maybe she could spot her new home from the top of this particular mountain. Well, that was until the fog rolled in.
It was thick, thick enough to slice with her dual horns, or a slash from her cloven hoof... but it was also thick enough to where it didn't matter if she did or not. Here and there she felt a shift in herself, her personality becoming that which she was not... it scared her, made her feel like something was being torn from her. Here and there a shadow seemed to pass through the fog, the sound of a hoof falling behind her. Startled, she would move faster, lion tail slashing in agitation. When she called out, the being didn't answer. Rather it just disappeared into the fog.
"Just a deer Myrah..." she spoke once again softly to herself, though she wasn't totally convinced of that either.
Abruptly the fog broke and the path ended, opening up to a field of sweet grass and various flora. Like a rainbow pendant spanning out before her to relax her sore muscles on. Lately she had been pushing herself too far and for too long, and it was catching up with her fast.
The one thing that loomed in the field was a half crazed looking grullo, quite oddly just like herself... Like a twin in fact! "Um where are we?" she asked, more desperate to find her way home rather than put up a front.
The mare snorted, tossed her head, and charged. It was so abrupt that Myrah barely had time to skitter back. Barely a thread of confusion had slipped through her thoughts before the heavy thump of cloven hooves were bashing into her shoulder. "YOU ARE IMPURE!" the unicorn screeched through clenched teeth. Myrah tried to skitter further out of the way as an onslaught of hooves flashed at her once more in an incredible buck.
"Who are you to say I am impure?!?" She shot back as she slid out of the way to face the angered mare.
"I am You, you are me, we are one... but you... You don't care if the Pegasi and Equines run this world!" the doppleganger spat. "Therefor you are IMPURE, and must be removed so I exist!" Myrah barely had a chance to respond as the mare fell forward into another charge, feinting to the side, she was too caught up in the mare's words to see the bite landing on her flanks.
Usually Myrah could fight, but she was so startled and fatigued, that all she could do was dodge and look for an opening. Hopefully, hopefully someone would come to help!
