They had arrived by the setting of the sweltering sun, an immense burden uplifted from the environment as its opulent rays of warmth showing diminished from the sky. The way the rich, yet fading, illumination settled upon the wispy contours of the clouds revealed what appeared to be the faint semblances of castles, thin and dilute as the sunlight poured earnestly through. Superfluously, she had begun to sing, a quiesce chorus as it poured from her lips, the words she crooned becoming lost in the breeze as it gently caressed the silken tendrils of her mane, affectionately sweeping and twirling the lengthy strands through docile fingers. A thin aureate line was etched along the horizon as the sparse grasses they moved across slowly succumbed to diminution and wavered to a vast expanse of russet rocks that extended to seemingly no end. Her muffled anthem had ceased, as her hooves clapped softly against the terrain. She briefly peered back at the stallion succeeding her as if to assure he was still there. Swinging her dark head toward the sunset, she inhaled steadily. "Here we are, Andash - the Dragon's Throat." She continued onward, the sky slowly becoming divulged in a cape of black velvet. By the time they finally reached the oasis, night had fully transcended across the world, liquid moonlight bathing everything in a mantle of eerie silver. |
