It was so hard for the boy to keep his legs still, to not turn and bolt away from the strange horse in front of him that he had been so determined to confront and yet so scared at the same time. If he shouted loud enough, maybe Aramis would be able to hear him, but the colt kept his maw shut and his eyes wide. He'd dared himself to come this far, walked straight into the den of lions, it was his duty to fight his way out. Determination set in his jaw, gaze still portraying fright, it was in this tense moment that Sacre almost jumped out of his skin when the stranger spoke tones that were kind on his ears. Though he did not miss the lesson the golden marked stallion was graciously taking his time to teach. He flicked an ear back in slight confusion, noting that he must state his own name in future and not be so reckless in his pursuit of others. Sacre gazed up at his hornless elder and timidly pulled a smile to his maw, breathing a little easier now that the fear of danger had passed.

So far so good, this equine didn't seem so bad.

"Sorry Sir" he said once again. It seemed he was to spend his day apologising for his own faults, but with endearing effort Sacre never made the same mistake twice as he finally managed to bring a full smile to his lips. The edges of it wild and boyish with eyes glinting in slight mischief, walking a little closer to the grulla stallion. Taking a little more interest in the appearance of the stranger, the boy noticed he was not quite as tall as his father, but their ages were similar. He had a strange looking spiders web across his face and the eyes of the stud were gilded like the pools Aramis had and Nonnie. Across the grulla's back was a dusting of gold and a tree marked a shoulder like the moons marked his father. Finally, his hornless abode was crowned in lashings of silvery white hair that were just like his mothers. Sacre had a tendency to liken things to those he had met before, finding small entertainment in matching the similarities even though he knew it was highly unlikely that any were related to this equine. Stopping once again, now hopefully just a neck stretch away from touching the spider stallion, ears twitched again to catch the others final words to him.

Lace.

Fajira.

Names he would remember and he shyly dipped his head, parting maw to offer his own title. "I'm called Sacre." Bonded. That was a word he had heard before and his head tilted as pools searched for another soul that would hold the name Fajira before turning back and narrowing his eyes. Yet, his tongue held as his mind reeled. Was it rude to ask of his bonded? Sacre wasn't sure and that insecurity tightened his lips on the matter as his mind leafed through the many other questions he wanted to ask. "You're an equine aren't you? Father says I shouldn't go near your kind, but you don't look all that scary to me Lace. If you don't mind me saying" he quickly added the last bit in, looking downwards in embarrassment and hoped he had not offended the kind seeming hornless by accident. Many more questions filling his young mind to plague him further with doubt, he didn't know if he should trust this stallion before him and logic would advise him not to unless he got to know him more.

Yet, the child couldn't help himself and his over inquisitive urges.
