 Evening’s setting quietly on the landscape – everything is new and so the silent glow of the setting light seems to fascinate the mare for a long while. That is until the peacefulness is stirred by the approach of something. She lets her eyes flow to the spot where she hears the crackling of snow and brushing of branches. Whatever it is it’s gotten very close with little to no sound – and it smells like a carnivore. The curly horned sabino draws in a deep breath and pushes a rough snort through her shuddering pink nostrils. A rather primative “who goes there!?” if you will. She’s not a very good communicator. Her eyes follow the sudden shadows to appear and a large hound stalks into her sight. She reels her head backward and her eyes widen with fear and fascination. Her body tightens and she retreats a few dragging steps before lowering her head to sniff timidly toward the wild-eyed dog. A stallion soon slithers in behind him, normal enough looking – his horns of broken glass capture her attention first, her abysmal eyes watching him carefully while she observes. Her horn is solid instead of glassy, like pearl with big dark bars through it and large spiraled curls; singular instead of doubled like his. She’s never seen anyone like him, though she hasn’t ventured very far (obviously) to really sample the taste of oddity Helovia holds. “Lost.” She eyes him suspiciously, while forming blunt words with a delicate wind-chime voice. The dog makes her quite nervous, but for some reason his granite voice makes her feel more comfortable. “And which are you?
