A curious loon sounded in the distance as the mare heaved herself from the shadows. It was not uncommon for her to travel by nightfall, but this particular twilight was filled with purpose and urgency. An object of affection was sought and if she did not fulfill the powerful need to see him, feel him, or simply be near him- she feared she might self-implode. The power of her hunger grew rampant through her chest, through her heart, a heart that now beat in his name. Murdock had seen nothing before this night for it had been many weeks since their last encounter and now the mare could restrain no longer- the need had not only overwhelmed her dreams but her wakefulness as well. This was the beginning of a pain unknown to her, but it was an addiction that she knew could be satisfied with one touch, one look, the utterance of her name from between soft lips.

The Steppe had become her home in his absence and on an odd night she would venture to its borders hoping to catch a glimpse of the ominous glow that would allow her to see him, Murdock. But it was only the faint glow from her own mane, now decorated with his primitive declaration of their attachment that caught her attention. The two feathers were enough to get her through most of the desire she felt while restlessly pacing the Basin, but now that she had endured many days and many nights without his eminent adoration for her, for life… she could wait no longer.

The cold of Frostfall was not as numbing as one would assume, especially when it came to an animal native to the Basin and its harsh climate. But the cold that now swelled in her breast was enough to make her shiver from within. The snow was hard and compact beneath her agile footfall, but it did little to absorb the tension built within her legs, shoulders, and back. She could not remember a time when she had felt so consumed by anything other than her own powerful greed, but then again, she had never felt love. In fact, she abhorred it. Her mother had taken Chernobyl’s sense of caring down to the watery grave in which she now rotted, but somehow Murdock had been able to restore that part of the maiden, thusly making her whole once more.

Above her, the sky was clear and consequently very quiet. It did not sing down upon her with its typical wintry tears and for that she was thankful. She wasn’t sure how much more she could handle, what with the evident cold building in her heart. She had been lost to everyone other than herself for some time now, only leaving the small cavern she called home on occasion to eat, drink, and stretch her legs. It was a mundane existence on the whole, but it allowed her the solace required to move forward… or rather, stand still. Everything around her was changing, such as the alliances being made with the Foothills, but of course this was all lost to Chernobyl for she had no idea of their pending connections- perhaps she would feel empty to find that her mercenary had yet to inform of the change.

When her legs could carry her no more for fear that she would miss him somewhere along the way, she paused. There in the middle of the plains she looked to be a ghostly figure with two luminescent feathers hanging proud from behind swiveled ears. Her eyes were wide with mirth, with hope, and most of all disappointment. Had she been avoiding this in fear that his feelings had changed or had she simply just lost touch with all that they had come to share… No matter the reason behind the length of time spent apart, she was here now… waiting. When she decided that this would be the place, the spot in which she would see him again, she closed her eyes to imagine what he looked like now. Had he been scarred from battle or simply just as beautiful as she had last come to see him as? No matter his appearance, she would embrace him with all the wonderful lust and love that she could possess for this was something that she would not give up. This was something she could not forget.

@[Murdock]

crushed and filled with all I found
underneath and inside, just to come around
more, give me more, give me more

  • Feel free to magic on her, but no murder.
