What was sunrise to one who was so often nocturnal? The sleeping patterns of the little shadow mare were a mystery to many, for she loved the moonlight far too much to let it go by behind shut eyes, yet conversely, so much of one's day was conducted when the Sun was in the sky. Upon the cliffside, with the Sun rising behind her, the DragonHeart considered all that had happened. The death, the destruction, the new life, the growth, all of it juxtaposed around her, all of it contorting her point of view and distorting it until nothing but a shell holding a puddle of confusion was left behind. She was healing, as they all were, but the wound was still fresh, only just beginning to scab over - prone to being pulled apart when any 'normal' activity was engaged again.

With little notice, the shadowmare was in motion, her outline silhouetted against the ocean, a golden dragon dancing in the Sun's early morning rays above her. While Akaith too felt the loss of her dragonkin, she was a creature who very much lived in the present moment, and to her, the day was new, the air was fresh, the Sun was warm, and she was alive, vibrantly healthy and taking advantage of every breath she could. The emotions were running high within the shadow mare, originating from her beloved little dragon, but she was distant to it all, her heart was elsewhere - shattered on the floor where Torasin lay still, dead, lifeless, decaying slowly in winter's deep freezer. She moved at a smooth walk, her raven tail swaying from hock to hock with every pendulum stride.

The outline of a lavender unicorn silhouetted against the ocean ahead of her was seen by amber eyes, a greeting rolling from the dragon's scaly maw to her and her companion with warmth and salutations. The WeyrLeader followed suit, albeit a few moments behind, so that she could be closer to her when giving her a more proper, intimate greeting, where her maw reached out to aim a touch upon the young girl's shoulder, a low wuffle proffered at the same time. "You seem deep in thought, Yseulte." Her voice was dry when she spoke, like she had been holding onto her silence for too many days recently. As she voiced her observation, she was aware that she herself probably appeared just as tormented, just as plagued by thoughts that distracted her from the present, pulling her into places where she did not belong - like the past.
