my sun sets to rise again.

The Sun had returned to the land, but not the one the citizens of the Edge were likely hoping for. Instead, a beauty born of the burnished color flew in from the East, her feathers pounding hard the moment she saw a dark drape fall upon her beloved home, Helovia. Her heart pounds on the bars of her chest, thrumming against her ribs, breath taken in harsh gasps by the time her wings drift seamlessly over the tops of trees. Below, the mists of the Edge twinkle mysteriously with the stars once painted in the skies.

What in fucking hell happened? Sage thinks to herself as her pastel eyes scan the dimly lit floor of her home. The herdlands, she noticed from her vantage point above, were graced with the lights of their respective elements. However, the rest of Helovia was doomed to reside in an endless sea of darkness, save for the strange looking trees she had spotted when she swooped low. The panic within her spirit was only heightened by the void of any others in the forest below. Sage knew that her absence from the herd had drawn out far too long, yet she hoped that the mare she respected still resided within this home.

Please, let Mirage the DragonHeart still wear the crown of the World's Edge.

Hooves clip into the earth, pounding down with ferocious force from the delicate flower of a girl. Her wings snap shut and she stands still, listening for the echoes of her arrival bounce off trees and bodies. The land smelled much the same, like forests from tales of old, misty and mysterious. The faint, familiar scent of the Shadow resided within the area. Sage lets out a half smile, before a nicker rolls through the trees like branches. "I have returned," she says proudly, taking a moment to let the beauty of this day... night... whatever sink in. Then, with a brash tone and quiet words, the girl's right ears flattens, replacing her look with one of uncertainty. "Now, what the hell is going on?"
