SAGE
my sun sets to rise again.

A distrusting beauty, Sage is. Madryn and Maskan were treated like brothers simply for their lineage and unwavering loyalty to the sister the golden beauty respected well. While she certainly expected no knife in her back from Lace, he had a long way to go before she looked upon him as family. Would she pause before protecting him? No, not even a bat of her pretty lashes. They were herdmates, and it was this which bound them together. However, he was far from being allowed close to her, to share in her pretty smiles and glimmering, warm eyes. Those were reserved for the holders of her heart, whoever they may be.

Sage guessed that Lace had caught on to the rather less warm embrace of his company than the conversation he stumbled in upon. The brash beauty was not unaware of her actions or their perception, after all, but if the Glazier was affected, he made no outward notice of it, which made the quiet gleam in her eyes grow more amused, lighter. Lace was interesting; perhaps, this is why he had remained so high in the rankings for so long even after an extended absence. She wondered.

As he explains his plan behind making a wall of glass formidable, golden ears flow in his direction, pushing strands of delicate ivory along her face, framing the girlish features until Sage almost looks like an innocent doll of a mare. She nods curtly, however, a strictly militant form of acknowledgement, which ruins the rather pristine image of a lady. "I look forward to seeing its completion," she says earnestly, though the voice is less than enthused. Walls and talk of architecture were not really what interested Sage, but she was glad that the defense of the herd was put before trinkets.

His question makes her laugh, a dainty bell like sound, bouncing off the bark of the trees and dancing off into the woods. Madyrn is quick to answer it for her, but despite the twin's very apt retort, the angelic girl has one of her own, a smile pulled across her lips. "What good is a joke when you already know the punchline?" Banter, more and more, which flooded her mouth like song does for a bird. A natural and fun way to keep many at a distance from her true heart, guarded well by a feeling of nonchalance in their exchanges.

For her brothers, the Protectors, it was a form of friendship they shared. Too many hard times befall the warriors to keep such grave, serious relations. As Maskan cracks a wise comments, Sage smirks, noting the softness upon which he regards the Glazier. Still, she is more or less unchanged just yet, no matter how warm the twins would view him. The Glazier needed to spend more time changing her current opinion to earn that, but right now he seemed more like a nosey herd-member. Likely, he was just innocently curious.

Not that it mattered much in her eyes.
