It’s that though we learn from our mistakes we’re condemned,
To make those same mistakes
again and again.

The Impersonator was curled up in a dull cave, shivering, waiting for a break in the snow. It was beautiful, gently falling onto the ground creating a thin and enchanting layer of white. Walking out into the snow was asking to get sick, while she loved the snow, with no sun to warm her, Arah decided to stay away from it. At least until it stopped snowing. As a result she was trapped in the tiny little cave, bored and cold. She did not feel like playing any games at the moment. Her mind was on matters of little importance, her friends, family and herd. She dedicated so much of her time to them, willingly gave her services to The Basin and asked for nothing in return. Arah did not mind this in the slightest, but she did wish others to respect her.

Golden orbs watched a single snow flake flutter to the ground, it's shape outlined dimly by the light that had begun in the centre of the Basin. It flipped over, it's decent slow and peaceful, how short it's beauty would be though. As soon as it hit the ground it would be the same as the rest of the snow on the ground. No longer would the snow flake be an individual beauty, it's exquisiteness would be lost to the rest. Had something like this happened to her? Was she one an individual snow flake, special on her own, only to join the Basin and be lost within the rest of the herd. The Impersonator did not think herself more beautiful than anyone else, but she did think that her personality had changed because of the Basin.

Arah had changed.

Finding her own company so depressing, Arah stood up. Her mane cascaded down her back and reaching the floor, her tail also sweeps the floor. Her hair reminded her of how she was before The Basin. Timid, scared and petrified of change, she had been horrified at the idea of cutting her magically altered hair. It used to be short, then her grandmother magiced it to be so much longer. Now...she was brave, a warrior and not scared of her own shadow anymore. She had grown into her skin, changed from filly to mare. Would it be a bad thing to chop off some of the length? She couldn't make her mind up, but she couldn't stand to be alone anymore. Time to brave the snow.

With gentle steps she stepped out into the open. It rested around her ankles, while the darkness of the endless night surrounded her. The Basin was quiet and she truly felt alone, barely about to see anything, Arah just stood in the snow watching the blackness grow.
