A roar burst from the mountains and carried on the strong winds that blew from the north. It shook the snow from the highest peaks and the heavy, white powder cascading like a blanket of wintry death to the flats below. What emerged was a monstrosity, and where it came from was a mystery. Was this beast from a rift? Was it awakened in the god's absence? That almost seemed like the last of the worry as a gigantic, scaled body hit the side of a small dune of snow and wasted it away like a fly from the swish of a tail. The monster stood almost as tall as a small hill, nearly 3 stories at the shoulder and was scaled like a dragon. However, the body type was clearly not that of the dragons we know of in Helovia. Its body is thicker and more sturdily built and no wings protrude from massive, bone back spines. One, thick, flat horn protrudes from its forehead in the shape of a dull knife blade, and its eyes are shockingly blue. As it moves south, the beast crushes norther timbers, a strange, blue shocking liquid pouring from its blue-glowing mouth. It lets out another roar, a call, a challenge. Perhaps it is seeking a god to duel with, but the gods are still gone. The moon may have risen in the sky, but the goddess remains absent from the land itself. As the four-legged dinosaur of a creature makes its way south, huge, blue glowing nostrils look for the scent of prey to sustain its hungry body, and it swishes its thick tail as it walks, leaving glowing, blue spit stains in the snow behind it that spark and shock like electricity. Who will rise to protect this land? Who will face the demons that threaten this new found hope? [Four monsters are appearing across the lands. Your character can choose to only respond to one monster since they are appearing simultaneously in four separate locations] [You may choose to attack in the first post if you wish!] |
