As he watched, unicorns began to appear from seemingly everywhere. A grim smile twisted the chestnut stallion's features, mentally acknowledging that these were more than likely his herdmates. Indeed, he dimly recognized several from that herd meeting Illynx had led him into... and there she was herself, racing in his wake to make his own attack stronger with a swift kick. His smile became brighter, more honest at that sight.
Emerald eyes shot to the beast next, watching strike after strike draw blood that... Was that miniature lightning that jumped amidst the droplets? He was only passingly familiar with the concept of static electricity, having zapped himself once touching his partner after a... nevermind. "Dammit this thing bleeds like it drools!" But that didn't seem to stop the others, splattered like some of them were. And Ruka wasn't about to get shown up.
He began to move again, seeking an opening as he circled around. Then he noticed the creature's head beginning to dip down. Grinning fiercely, he sped up, watching and calculating as that head came lower and lower, sweeping down toward a target that the lanky steed spared no glance for. He only went faster, determined to intercept while the creature was distracted with trying to take out an 'irritant'. Barbed horn was lowered, angling for his target... There! With any luck he'd calculated this correctly, leaping in with horn leading as the creature's head swung into reach. But his goal was upward, body springing into an eager leap. He meant to drive his horn into the creature's throat, catch an important vein or artery, and he steeled himself for the possible outpouring of blood.
