Peace, quiet and calm. Here the doe had finally found a moment to think back, Arah wanted to reflect on who she was. What had just happened? She had gone to war, would the fates ever forgive her? Or had what she done been for the greater good? Was her family sleeping safer because of her actions? Would would sleeping foals be snatched from their dens and their parent's safety? So many unanswered questions that this mare would never have the answers. The Foothills had helped her other herd mates attack the Edge....The Grey. Someone that lived among them meant a lit to her. Lakota. Had her dark friend also gone to war? Had she even survived the first wave?
A single tear rolled down her check, was it wrong the she hated herself so much at the moment?

Giving up on her mind full of questions, Arah moved into the waters of the grove, the cooling waters helped with her injuries. While she had already bathed herself, her coat back to it's usual pristine white, she still felt dirty. Her golden robs looked out over the rippling waters, thoughts focused on her other herd mates. The Impersonator had not seen many of her friends since the battle. The wait for them to come home had become too much for her. She needed an escape from the pain. Only her depression had gotten worse, she was normally so happy and full of life. Why did she feel so dark inside?

A single bird came down and landed on her lower back. It gently tweeted at her, she turned around and smiled at it. Tilting it's head to the side it watched her, tweeting at her occasionally. A smile broke through the darkness as she studied it, it's blue chest was puffed out proudly. Taking a few steps up her spine the little fellow seemed quite relaxed with her, maybe she wan't a monster after all. Chuckling at it the ivory doe began to gently sing a song to it.

"Abraham took Isaac's hand and led him to the lonesome hill.
While his daughter hid and watched,
She dare not breathe. She was so still.
Just as an angel cried for the slaughter,
Abraham's daughter raised her voice.

Then the angel asked her what her name was,
She said, "I have none."
Then he asked, "How can this be? "
"My father never gave me one."

And with his sword up, raised for the slaughter,
Abraham's daughter raised her bow.
"How darest you, child, defy your father?"
"You better let young Isaac go."

She had betrayed her father, Arah found at times that the song was about her. Knowing that you were a fighter...well Arah found that it helped her sleep at night. It was now with a smile that dame hummed to the tuned to bird. She was going to get through this, she would one day be able to forgive herself. "What do you think Abraham's daughter ended up being called?" She asked the little bird. It gave her a look and then when back to tweeting at her. She chuckled and nodded, the girl would not have ended up being named. She was free, daughter of the wild. Then she looked at the bird, "and your name?" Arah watched as the bird gave her one last kind look and then took flight. "Nildë." Friend.
