It felt good to spread his wings, again. For a long while the twins had wandered aimlessly in the dark forest, their hooves searching for an end to the compact space that kept them rooted to the ground as strongly as the trees that had enveloped them. The wind whistled in his ears, his long flowing mane gently stroking his shoulders as the tendrils rippled like a golden stream behind his arched crest. Powerful wings kept the stallion easily aloft; his body lanky yet thin and lightweight much like that of an over sized doe. A whinny escaped his lips as he caught an up-drift, wings only beating on occasion as the warm currents carried him higher ad higher as his body nestled between his companions.

A voice shouted over the howling of the wind in his ears and he turned to the patchwork stag on his right - he knew it would not be Altair that was chatting. "A place called Cambria!" He replied, voice trying to outmatch the sound of the air. "Its quite far from here - I doubt you'd have heard of it!" He said, all too casual. Midas knw nothing of the war in his homeland, nor the occurrences tat had forced the royal twins from their families embrace. They were likely the last of their blood but Felix was not one to let that affect him. Fresh starts and new beginnings and all that jazz.

Her glanced below, scanning the landscape. Bright glowing baubles shone like fireflies or stars, marking their path. It was beautiful. The lights shone off shrubbery and foliage, which soon gave way to rocks and dirt. The desert landscape was similar to the Cambrian deserts and was a familiar and welcome sight. Before him, a pillar of light, like an angels descent, marked the territory, guiding the trio and spreading a vast light over the lands. Before it, separating barren lands from the borders, was a half finished wall. It wasn't exactly what Felix would call attractive, in fact it was not unlike a jagged scar on the sands below, but Felix did not comment. As they passed the wall, Midas spoke up; they were home.

He grinned, glancing toward Altair and nickering toward his brother, who's face was stoic as always. Despite his apparently neutral gaze, Felix could see a spark in Tess' eyes that he had not seen for some time; hope.

The palomino twisted slightly, angling his wings down as he began his decent. As he grew closer to the earth, his wings began to prevent himself colliding with force with the ground below. Graceful, Altair drifted down, touching the sands and landing in a way that showed his experience with the fine texture of the desert terrain. Felix, in the other hand, landed with a jerk, stumbling forwards and coming very close to face-planting. He caught himself - just - and blushed furiously. Shaking his messed up mane and flickering his stumpy tail, he cleared his throat, as if nothing had happened. maybe Midas hadn't noticed. "So, this is the Throat, huh? Nice... light pillar. Does that come in 'ominous glow?' or just 'heavenly light'?" Altair rolled his odd colored eyes. Trust Felix to make a fool of himself.
