The stars lit up the sky like ugly cut diamonds in her eyes. The cloudless, this never ending night, made it more cold in the rocky bowl that was the Basin. Usually, something that wouldn't bother her, but today or whatever the hell it was, it felt like the tip of the iceberg. Silver irises seemed to bore into the twinkling lights, closing in slow blinks, like she could shut her lids and they would disappear at her will. In the second they were hidden, she mused she much rather see nothing. She rather all lights went out at this point. What was the use thinking things would go back to the way they use to be? Even the Gods proved, nothing stays the same forever.
Faintly,aware of her bitter mood the Thief had tucked herself out of view in branches of evergreens, the lake only a couple stretches away. Like a faded onyx statue, coated with bloody locks she loosened slow breaths,letting them leave her like everything else. Avoiding to even look at the crescent moon, the return of a sky shouldn't bother her. It did, every little thing was staring to grind on patience. The thoughts of the future making her stomach cave in upon itself. Part of her wanted it all over with already. And yet, there was more that craved to be fallen in the mist of battle to see if she could stand up again. Dark ears, brush against her neck, she was restless and it showed the way she kept shifting her weight between her limbs. Very unlike herself. Something needed to be done, and while the world was changing she felt she needed to do the same. There was still no compass, or Northern Star pointing her in the right direction.
