As the little queen arrived, she furiously told all the lesser drakes her position, and was pleased when they dispersed. The little dragon soon disappeared too, and hid in the trees nearby. She was able to give her bonded a view of what was happening from her perch, and Mirage was confused - where were the guards, the protection of the lands. Why were three - no, four - outcasts standing around her lands, giving birth?
A dragon's call echoed across the skies above, and it came from a dragon much larger and more real than the ones who had just fled the scene before. Her golden scales were muted in the moonlight, but still she cast a shadow as her frame passed overhead. Nearby, she landed, and immediately made to approach those who would trespass. A low growl rumbled in her throat, as the DragonHeart drew herself to her full height - an intimidating feat once the elongation of her neck stretched out high and tall. Wings were folded down by her side, though they shuffled, as if to demonstrate that they could very well be used as weapons if need be. Her tail lashed at the undergrowth beneath, as her eyes, deep pools of molten gold, pierced the darkness to behold all those who stood before her.
"What is the meaning of this?" The voice that came from the maw of the dragon was demanding, and yet, almost sympathetic to the cause of the new mother. Her talons kneaded the soil below, as she considered each of those present with a heavy stare.
