Catch your dreams before they slip away

And suddenly, I was reminded of my stupidity.

I had been so ignorant and stupid in times long ago, and I had proved it to the whole Throat by challenging Kri for leadership. She was a powerful mare, one who needed to lead the Throat. I was stupid, challenging the strong fem for her position. Back then my eyes had been clouded with an ignorance and greed, my head eager to feel a crown upon it. But I had failed, Kri having beat me. I was ashamed to speak of it now, and facing Kri again would probably not end well. A frown pressed against my lips, fiery eyes gazing at the golden dragon. "So I must gain Kri's trust in order for you to open your gates?" I asked. This would not be a simple task, regaining Kri's trust. The ivory maned was stubborn as a mule, which she had proved time and time again.

I listened to Mirage as she addressed Delinne, telling her she had been at the invasion of the Quian and the former Edge. I just looked at Delinne, waiting for her to respond. In my heart, I hoped that Delinne's words could convince the DragonHeart to let her into the herd. When I went to the Dragon's Throat, I needed someone to look after Delinne and Azarel while I was gone. I kept my mouth closed, for I had nothing to say. Mirage then turned to the dark mare, who was still standing there. She told her the Edge would not harm her, for she had not harmed them. I stood in silence, my fiery eyes having settled on the giant golden lizard.

"Azzaron being pissed off."
