She flew.

The summer sun beat a steady sweat upon her back, guided by the labor of her wings as they struck across the winds, demanding submission to keep her aloft. Most of the time she rode the air currents, but even still the fiery orb threatened to suffocate her, pressing a kiss so warm upon her hide she could nearly hear her hairs sizzling.
It took all of Ampere's will to recall the dreary abyss of an eternally dark winter. As much as she longed for it now, in this moment, she knew she should rejoice in the return of the sun.

She just wished she didn't have to rejoice so much.
It's hot.

For this reason she cut down closer to the ground. The currents that allowed her to glide were trickier in lower altitude, but she thought perhaps being further away from the day lord would be worth it, as if she might burst into flames for flying too high and too close to the sun.
In dropping closer to the ground she spied a glint from below, which directed her electric gaze down. She saw immediately the ornate, painted shell of the turtle, though she could not as quickly discern what it was, and then also the two bodies of fellow horses. Although they were insane enough to be beside a fiery, hellish pit, as if they were numb to the heat wave stroking the heavens everywhere around them and needed a greater source of warmth, Ampere was curious.

She wheeled in the sky to circle around again, squinting against the daylight shine to try and understand the scene below. She was curious, but not crazy - she wanted to know what was going on, but did not want to get closer and become roasted pegasus.
At least, not until she realized the glinting light was coming from another one of those orbs.
Another companion? her mind whispered in disbelief. Was Helovia so abundant in abandoned eggs, or did the land somehow grow rich off this slave trade of infant creatures? Did the supposed gods of Helovia perhaps feed off the bonded souls and drink the tears of the crying babes who's freedom was torn from their breasts?

Ampere wanted to scream.

Instead she ground her teeth together and shot downward, streaking out of the sky like some massive vulture swooping in for a carcass, hungry lions be damned. At some point in her descent though rationality miraculously overcame her impassioned fury. Perhaps it was the scars and scabs along her body trilling with expected agony for her harsh landing that snapped her brain back into intelligent thought. That and the heat had her exhausted.

She would never win the war of this inhorse (inhumane) crime by making herself the enemy, that much she had learned at the deer's drop when everyone turned on her. No, she'd have to play with their rules a bit, at least for a while, until she could amass some amount of sense to deliver to these brainwashed savages.
She especially knew there was no hope teaching them anything when an orb was in their sight line. They all began to grovel and drool nearly instantaneously as greed crept into their conscious and eradicated everything else.

Ampere knew she would have to win the orb.

And if she didn't? Well then she could beat the shit out of them, and hopefully, the sense into them.

Smiling to herself and all her cleverness Ampere's wings shot out to her sides, gently dropping her to the ground near the two already assembled. She landed neatly, her wings folding tightly along her back as she began to walk towards them.
She realized then the colorful thing she'd seen from above was the turtle's shell, which brought a quizzical tilt to her head, very bird like with it's angle and sharp movement - she'd never seen a turtle like it before. Although, Ampere was not one who had seen many turtles in her lifetime.

Resisting the urge to be snide as she caught the end of Hotaru's desperate plead, Ampere settled in beside the caramel unicorn, visibly taxed now that the full effects of the heart were being felt. A white lather had formed on her neck and in other less, noticeable places, and her sides heaved in tempo with her nares. Her throat ran dry so she swallowed, but did not say anything at all, which was perhaps for the better.

Ampere wasn't yet well learned on lying or deceiving. In fact she was just impressed she was managing not to talk at all, which was a feat in itself, albeit aided by her dry tongue.

Wishlist -- to enter drops and win the companions so she may release them, never bond to them.
