A smile slowed parted the lips of the turtle, as he looked towards Ampere, who had returned first. The mare's enthusiasm was evident by the look upon her face, and the energy that seemed to exude from her rather avian form. With a slow nod, he looked at the items she had brought. She seemed to have carefully considered the basic needs of the youngling -- would she perhaps be the one to take the child?

As Torleik came next, the turtle slowly turned towards him. This dark one - what had he brought? The turtle listened with delight, as the unicorn mentioned that the nest, also served a purpose as a toy - and that he had sought help in concocting the item. It was one thing to be able to sustain the child physically, but another to provide for it mentally. Further, his network might prove useful.

With a nod to both, the turtle turned to the molten mass that was the small creature. "Awaken child." He mused warmly. Shreds of fire slowly bled from the roundish shape, as wings began to slowly open, revealing the small creature previously curled so tightly around itself. He smiled graciously to the blue mare, before turning to the darker stallion. "Your resourcefulness will prove useful - but your insight into the mental needs of this ward, are well received."

Slowly, the griffin unfurled, bits of flame and molten spew dripping from its glowing wings. With a cry, it moved towards Torleik.

As Hotaru arrived, the turtle turned towards her, with a fatherly sigh. "Your efforts are appreciated young one, but you have come too late. The care of a child requires ingenuity, but also the ability to manage your time."
