Blue eyes squinted through the foliage as ears prick forward to try and pick up the conversation of the two pegasus nearby. Ampere, standing on some thin branches in the treetops above, had been browsing for fruits to satisfy her sweets craving. Most of the trees here were of the pine variety, and after trying the needles once she would certainly never again, but occasionally a nut or fruit tree grew around as well. Her searching had been interrupted by the sudden outburst of the stallion, the commotion instantly catching her attention.

Like a moth drawn to flame so Ampere seemed sucked into drama and danger, as liable to cause it as to fling herself into it with little self regard. This was not to say Ampere ever did this on purpose, or if so it was a subconscious intent, but that her competitive and playful nature coupled with some self righteous dreams often gave her reasons to be involved.

Just as Ampere picked up on the mare's reply, too dismissive for Ampere's liking, a dawdling oaf collided into her tree. Her balance swayed instantly, the thin branches already struggling to support her weight finally gave with that extra knock. A bough bowed, too young to fully break, and Ampere's leg shot down instantly. The bough whipped back up and slapped her underbelly, causing her to flinch and misplace all the rest of her balance. She squealed in surprise at the strike and following that, the rest of her body plummeting down after her leg. Her wings beating uselessly against the inevitable victory of gravity, only managing to collect bits of the tree in her feathers as she dropped like a stone.

With a thud Ampere landed in a heap upon the ground. There she stayed for a moment, dizzied and aching from nose to rump. "Luckily the branches helped break my fall," she humored with a groan, beginning to pull her legs under her. Laying on her breast now Ampere glanced around, a scowl etching onto her face as Oxy exclaimed loudly. Moron her mind muttered, failing to put any blame on her own activities that aided in her fall.
From her laying position Ampere then hoisted herself back to her feet, seemingly no worse for the wear - she did have a lot of experience with falling, it seemed a bit of a package deal with tree perching.

Shaking the dust from her hide Ampere strode closer to the duo, mostly ignoring Oxy for now aside from giving him a passing glance. Twigs, leaves and other debris poked out awkwardly from her mane, but Ampere didn't lack in beauty for it, her blue markings' vibrancy seemingly unable to be tarnished. "You don't really believe int hat destiny crap do you?" Ampere asked the mare pointedly, still walking closer. Each step punctuated her words. in the trees she had felt a quiet rage boiling, but the fall seemed to have knocked the heated water out and all she was left with was incredulity at the mare. "You're a pegasus for shit's sake, doesn't being grounded make you feel something!"

Ampere halted, her feathers and mane swaying with the jerking movement. Her eyes were wide and full of color in her emotional state, nearby plants beginning to prickle with blue electricity.
