I am someone to hate This mare was incredibly passive. He wasn't sure he liked that. One-winged and submissive as she seemed, the soldier knew it would be the easiest of tasks to do what he wanted with her - if he felt so compelled. He eyed the bird that seemed to be with her more now, seeing the details of the creature up close. With that kind of beak and those talons it was most certainly a carnivorous creature. Dalibor wasn't afraid. It was small, and he could kill it easily enough if need be. The mare introduced herself as Africa after a giggle - what feminine wiles were these? - and after claiming the loss of her wing was her destiny. In a strange way, Dalibor felt he understood what she meant. Had not what happened to him been destiny? "Dalibor," he stated simply. His mind was already elsewhere. This was a Pegasus. He was a Pegasus. Was this a land of Pegasi? Were there no filthy spikeheads to be contended with? His dream was shattered but moments later when a loud TWHACK! drew his attention. Dalibor's head snapped around to the origin of the echoing noise and his hawkish orbs narrowed to slits of hate. Apparently this land was infected with the horned disease. Did everyone roam freely about? Did they...gods, did they all get along? The thought was horrifying. Nares flaring, a foreleg poised to strike the ground in violent warning, Dalibor was fully prepared to have a brawl with this pathetic being that needed horns to survive because it had been cursed with arrogance, stupidity and subsequently been shackled to the ground. However, the following WHUMP! that succeeded the Unicorn's boorish "What?" demanded his attention - and not for good reasons. The Pegasus that was now splayed on the forest floor in all manner of shameful, ungainly poses was very much blue...and from what Dalibor could smell from the air their fall displaced, very much a young mare. "Graceful," he grunted, annoyed at the foolishness of this mare's actions. If the tree was not solid, perching in it was not a wise decision, lest another come along and smash the tree as the Unicorn had. While the second mare gathered herself, Dalibor inspected the Unicorn, seeing a greenish substance smeared all over his lips. The whiff of the stallion he had caught with the blue Pegasus' fall had made him suspicious, but this new discovery all but confirmed it. "Are all the Unicorns here as pathetically dependent on mind-altering substances as this one?" he asked, ignoring the other male's existence altogether. Dalibor would not speak to that thing unless it became necessary. The blue mare let loose a barrage of acerbic words directed towards Africa, and the warrior felt bile rise in his throat. "One as young and stupid as you should not advertise that her throat is an open grave," he growled. His ire did not stem from a sense of protectiveness; rather, he was irked at this mare's arrogant rejection of destiny - something he believed in, though it was a begrudging acknowledgement. Youth had no inkling of its place in the world, no idea when to speak and when to shut the hell up. Insubordination was what it was, plain and simple. Foolishness. Which was a shame, he thought, because the blue mare had a beautiful form. Especially her toned rear. I could put you in your place, you mouthy little live-wire... And live-wire she was, Dalibor noted, as she was obviously imbued with some sort of electricity magic. Useful knowledge.  |
