Ampere reached, her teeth extending like an angry serpent on the coil of her neck, her wings vying to sweep against the pewter folds of flesh the abhorrent girl wore, her hooves unfurling like the ocean's waves to pound against the beach of dappled meat.
She reached, but she did not grasp.

Her teeth snapped shut on each other with a shudder that ran along her jawline and into her skull. Her vision blurred, black smudging the edges of the forest and the blue lightning as her eyes spun in their sockets. Her hooves scuffled in the dirt and the underbrush, while her wings flared, grappling at the wind for balance while the mistress hastily pulled her hand away.
Ampere stumbled, staggered, and fell to the right as Dalibor's bulk shoved into her. His hip-check sent her careening into a nearby tree, its wood catching her with the gracious buffer of bruises blossoming beneath her hide. Its rough bark snarled at her side as her momentum cause her to slump down its stem, her dizziness causing her to stay there for a moment as the other horses continued to dance, too slow to reach her now.

Really, she should be grateful to the red oaf.

In the process of being tossed around like a rag doll, which let's face it her small size nearly made her one, her magic fizzled and sputtered into oblivion, along with her rage. It still burned, somewhere deep in her gut where the coals glowed hot and red, but the fire was doused now and it left her feeling weak, hungover and foolish, much like a a fine night with the stud, but lacking any of the pleasure she could have reaped from it.

Slouched against the forest strongman Ampere collected herself with as much dignity as she could muster. Her limbs, throbbing in tempo with her heart beat, untangled themselves and hoisted her up with a certain grace that comes with the acceptance of defeat. The wildness remain latched onto her, accentuated with the misplaced feathers on her wings that now hugged her sides, with the wry styling of her leaf-tangled mane and the dribble of blood from the corner of her right lip that somehow hardened the bold stare she laid upon them all.

"You are so quick to defend the guilty?" Her voice came out soft and low now, nothing like her typical fondness for being boisterous. This was her being exposed before them, her wounds raw with the truth of this event. It rocked her heart, another scar to crack the beating surface. "Justice is like the gods these days, an empty belief," Ampere spat on the ground, a red froth of disdain, as she turned to leave and stalk back into the trees before something more than her pride and her faith broke here today.
