Piercing blue irises watched the greenery as she anticipated the stranger's reveal. Although it was possible it was no stranger the likelihood was that it was just that - a stranger. Someone she hadn't met, and probably would never meet again. The pegasi waited, her well-trained patience evidently assisting her in doing so, even as it wore thin. The dark smile that was upon her maw faded into a darker scowl, clearly getting irritated with the wait that this clearly brave soul had inflicted upon who was likely the most unpleasant equine they'd ever met. The crack the stranger had been revealed by mostly had echoed through the forest with perfect clarity, although the flies were getting to the Arabian's patience as she flicked her luxurious banner at the pests.
Softly, vocals would sliver through the trees, reaching Citronella's auds and receiving a minute flick in response. The mare kept her silence, but due to the length of time she'd endured waiting for the confirmation of the living soul's existence and carelessness, the morbid femme picked her way quietly thought the undergrowth, her wings delicately scraping the odd branch, but yet keeping relatively quiet in comparison to the other woman's failure. And so she waited off the beaten path a little, chewing on some rather tasteless leaves. Yes, she made a little noise, but no, she didn't care. After all, Citronella knew it a fool's choice to give everything away at once. A dappled mare - no, pegasus - came into view then and the dark woman became silent a little way after she'd passed, her youthful eyes keeping the evidently younger mare in her sights. Small movements of her dished crown kept the youngster in view, and Citronella gradually inched toward the path again, wondering if she'd be noticed or if she could follow the female a way. It was only a game, nothing suspicious or fatal would result from it...would it?
