Where had she gone? Had she decided to leave Helovia altogether? Was she hurt? All of these questions swirled about in Solace’s mind. He knew Cantante was an adult, and most likely more than capable of taking care of herself, but he couldn’t stop the worry. He had promised her to keep her safe, and obviously he’d been doing a real wonderful job at that. For all he knew, she was dead. Yet, he also knew that she was strong, he would just have to look for her, even if that meant searching all of Helovia.

Solace had already spent some time searching the Foothills, it was time to look outside of the borders. He decided to make his way to the Heavenly Fields, it was the Wilds closest to his home. Once he had visited those beautiful fields, so he knew the general way there from his home. Even with the heat and clear days of tallsun, Solace found his vision obscured by the fog around him. The only sound breaking the silence from his steps was the soft clip clop of his hooves.

Solace flicked his tail and stopped for a brief moment and glanced about. It was highly unlikely that she would appear here. The odds would be so far out of his favor. Helovia was too vast of a land, and it made him dread that he never would find her. Especially since she was a winged one, while he was one of the ground. He had no idea how there would be any hope. He kept going though, walking up the trail toward the Heavenly Fields. Typically, Solace wasn’t the type for prayer or faith, but he pleaded with whatever gods would listen that he would find the mare, and that no great harm happened to her in his absence. He prayed that one of the gods would keep a watchful eye upon her.

Solace didn’t know whether or not that the gods would even listen let alone answer his prayers, but that mattered little. The typically calm stallion felt a wave of frustration hit him. He smashed his hoof against the stone and gave out a loud snort. Why had he waited so long to look for her? Why hadn’t he kept a more careful eye on her? “God damn it all,” He murmured to himself. Walking wasn’t going to get him any further. Solace finally pulled himself from his negative thoughts and began to move at a canter. His hooves made a loud sound against the stone path. If anyone was even a thousand feet away they would most likely be able to hear him. Good, He thought to himself, If Cantante is anywhere near she’ll hear me.

Speech.
