ORANGEMOON :: Year Eight
 ORANGEMOON cools off the lands with a a viscious force. Colder than normal, a sign of things to come during Frostfall, Helovia is bathed in a rich tropical lushness - albiet a cold one. The coastlines of the Dragon's Throat are pelted constantly by tidal waves, and the desert climate is humid but chilly. Ice begins to form early in the Aurora Basin leaving the winding trails slick and dangerous. The mists of the World's Edge coat everything in a glistening crystalline shine which encourages mould to grow everywhere. The Spectral Marsh is the only area which remains fertile, blissfully temperature and lush.

WEAVER, Corporal of the Aurora Basin, is a relatively recent addition to Helovia and has taken it by storm. Branded with the seal of Death on her chest, intrigue and interest follow both her past and present. Though she is assuredly beautiful, her sometimes sharp personality reveals that there is more to this uni-peg hybrid than meets the eye. Proving herself able on the battlefield in the Basin’s warrior ranks, we can’t wait to see her test her mettle against the looming Kaos happenings! Congratulations! |

Your terra firma is a terra incognita; a mystery, a riddle. - Your firm Land is a unknown land. - Firm land could refer to him being strong and 'firm' and Shadow not knowing him. - Terra firma refers to a dry land mass, but Oliver is a pegasus, so the air is more known to him. - Terra incognita may also be Terra Australis Incognita, which was a made-up southern continent. This makes me think of Dragon's Throat, in which Oliver barely knows anything about. To you I am a mare incognitum; undiscovered, unexplored. - Oliver Has not met Shadow, nor has he been in the ocean on the endless blue. Be wary as you chart the mappa mundi, roving the world in solitude - A mappa mundi is any medieval European map of the world. - Oliver is a European name. - Oliver is an outcast, and is alone. Could also refer to him being single at this time. The world is not as gentle as you; hic sunt dracones. - hic sunt dracones means here are dragons. Since oliver hasn't seen a dragon, gone to world's edge, nor met anyone from world's edge, I thought of this like a warning from shadow to oliver.

Mare incognitum is also a reference to an "unknown sea". Sea could be a ref to Huy's water magic. Be wary as you chart the mappa mundi, roving the world in solitude - Frequently travels alone. 0 | Iffy on this one. You said terra incognita as if Hototo disguises himself or tries not to be the son of the Earth God? Otherwise, it seems great to me.
+1 | Nice clue! +1 | Another nice clue - I got that clue right away +1 | he is kinder than the world -1 | "hic sunt dracones" would literally mean "Here be dragons" in the present tense. That, to me, would imply that he HAS a dragon, not that he has the ability to bond to one. I think this clue was particularly misleading. Overall score of 2, so that's a fail from me.

In Latin, terra can also just mean 'land', rather than 'earth'. 0 - To you I am a mare incognitum; undiscovered, unexplored. He doesn't know Shadow, plus he is a virgin - mares are unexplored Because you were using latin, I need to give this a 0. If you're going to mix languages, make sure you know your english cognates!. Definitely thought of an outcast! 1 -The world is not as gentle as you; he is kind -1 hic sunt dracones...and can bond with dragons. This definitely indicated either the Edge, or a character with a dragon.
