Chaos reigned for a few short moments, marked by the thunder of multiple sets of hooves, the yelp of a dog and the rising bellow of a stallion. Then, as the dust fell, the striped mare was not to be seen, leaving the strange family group in her wake.
The grulla mare snorted, head high and ears erect as she gazed after the strange mare. A strange occurrance, and she doubted it was the last they'd see of her. Her name was shouted then, and she turned to approach the tawny young stud with deliberate, if swift, steps across the short distance. It had been... too easy to drive that striped mare away, even though she had been faced with herself and Zaffre. "Someone looking to wreak some dangerous mischief." She said simply in explanation.
Almost prancing from leftover excitement, Kimber sidled in beside Ricochet, muzzle dipping toward Guns with inquisitive concern. She was glad Ricochet was here, but wasn't sure that Guns was alright. A pair of vaporous shapes slid from beneath her mane, winding down her forelegs to sit upright on either side of her reaching nose. Now they were still, it was rather obvious that they were ferrets, but ones of wispy water vapor. Only their eyes were very distinct, peering in turn at the dog and up at his equid friend.
An amused glance was all her mother spared for her, assured that the yearling would come to no harm from her half brother, nor from any other source while in his presence and hers. A breeze swept over her back, prelude to the alighting of the blue upon her haunches. A brief, curious glance was cast by those jade eyes before the dragon turned to watch for that stranger again, or any other. "So you've finally returned." Smoke stated, intentionally drawing conversation from the havoc that had prevailed moments earlier. Her gaze was calm and even, though there was tension in her muscles.
