and the words came down in tatters and flames

Boring, that was how the twisted maiden could summarize life since arriving in the bizarre land known as Helovia. She had encountered only two individuals outside of the Threshold, those two prejudiced pegasi, condemning her for something unchangeable. If all the winged made such assumption because of the sins of others she wanted nothing to do with them. There were far better things to do than deal with overly cautious fools. They never would experience the thrill of simply moving in for the kill. Giving into that moment of curiosity and indulging yourself fully of what lay in the unknown. It seemed as though she was being punished for her sins by simply being bored. She had journeyed from the cold mountains into the meadow.

So, she lingered about this place for multiple days. Multiple days compiled entirely of complete and utter boredom. She lounged about, eating, drinking, sleeping, an walking about. At first the rest was welcome, but now she craved company, it was natural instinct to be amongst her own kind afterall. The mare was pulling up strands of grass, in the afternoon heat. Tallsun was coming to a close, and she would miss the heat of the sun. Home had only provided the heat this place faced in the dog days of tallsun, but this place had heat since her arrival. Delightful heat that warmed her back when she journeyed. When the colder months hit she knew that she would have to find a place to settle in order to survive, but until then she would journey wildly about. Maybe this could be a place that could be home once frostfall hit, because she knew those cold mountains would only mean certain death.

Pandora shrugged, choosing to not worry about the distant future. For now, she would focus on finding entertainment. She trotted toward a pond, hoping another would gather there. When no one was there, she felt a wave of disappointment. With a snort of irritation, she decided she would at the very least take what was in front of her. She leapt into the water, and felt a small wave lap against her flesh. The water went up to her knees, and it felt refreshing to feel the cool water against her skin. She dipped her mouth into the water and took up several mouthfuls.

The scent of another filled her nostrils. Pandora lifted her head and turned her head in the direction. A smirk passed over her lips. It appeared as though someone had come to play. “Anyone there?” She called, breaking her long established silence.
