               SAISANDS

frozen faces can always melt, push this echo in the outside world

It hadn't taken too long for the dame, despite the heat of the Tallsun bearing down on her soft golden coat, to travel to the lands of the Foothills. Saisands could tell by the scent of it that this was the right place - Boltar had smelt similar. It confused her how they could not have travelled back together, she still was playing the romantic fool, but she guessed that in the future anything could happen with anybody. There was so many creatures in this land that the pretty dame was bound to find someone, even if it wasn't the first brute to have come across her. Deciding to try and put the whole account behind her and feel gracious for his information, she stepped into the dry herbage. She noticed how it was significantly, slightly cooler here, but it still did not give much respite from the heat of the sun. It was now setting, so some comfort could be drawn from its reciding power in the hours of the night.

The breeze was stronger here, and it ruffled her flaxen silks that adorned the little flowers. In the deep glow of the dying day, her beauty was accentuated further. The light played on her crown and gave her cocoa orbs a further shine to them. With no fatigue to hold her down, the pretty little dame strutted with ease across the landscape of the Foothills. The clouds in the heavens fogged up her vision as she tried to look out to the mountains, the frondescence that was scarcely scattered about the terra firma was dry, whilst the herbage and grass was also thirsty from the lack of water. Saisands wondered if there was ever any cold months that occured here.

With the attitude of taking everything with a pinch of salt, the duchess was in the search of a member of the herd that recided in the area, keen to attempt to be accepted. Being a sociable creature as herself, the golden vixen wanted to be in good company a lot of the time. With her crown held high, the beautiful dame scanned the horizon constantly for signs of life, paying little attention to any dangers that could be lurking behind every corner.

Is there anyone here...?

Evers had been brainstorming ways he could complete his quest. Fire would be the easiest to carry by burning onto a sturdy piece of wood, but managing to keep it alight would be another thing. He'd have to have another willing to go back to the veins with him. Maybe one of his brothers would oblige. For now he was concerning himself over how he was going to store dirt and water. He would need a bucket and a jar. But where on earth would he find those things? It was on this day that the idea hit him, the blue could ask the herds Mason. Namer. A curious stallion who had talent in the area Evers needed. He made a note of tracking down the steed.

Scarce trees whistled in the breeze as the little unicorn ambled across the Foothills, deep in thought. He was about to turn to the matter of travelling to the Throat when he stumbled across a newcomer. Shock initially played out across his face, Evers wasn't expecting to find someone wondering across the border, but then again it wasn't uncommon. The Foothills attracted all kinds of species across its borders. It was so diverse the herd leads even allowed his mother, Mandrake, to remain here. Although the sight would of been unseemly if they hadn't.

Evers approached the palomino femme and politely stops a little distance away so not to frighten her. He wasn't exactly the most common unicorn to come across but the little blue never really bothered much about his appearance. Most of his family turned out to be defective in some way. Especially the newest member, Knox. He wondered how the mare had found the Foothill's whilst he spoke "hello Miss. I'm Evers, are you looking for a new home here?" His quiet, shy like vocals crept out of his maw, face inquisitive as he asked.

               SAISANDS

frozen faces can always melt, push this echo in the outside world

From out of nowhere a brute appeared, azure roan in pelt and charcoal silks. He was incredibly thin, and adorned six claw-like horns that were also charcoal stuck out of his miniscule neck like war souvenirs. It made Saisands wonder about the actual descendants of the beast; was he a horned or hornless creature? Nevertheless, the curious side of the beautiful dame was too much to resist and it overcome her. She was not scared, for the stranger evidently seemed friendly enough. And what made her important enough to make rash judgments of creatures? She began to slowly move across the dry lands on her little daggers, making very little noise. The breeze was playing with her flaxen silks as she made her across to stand in front of the stranger. Her pretty golden crown bore an expression of friendliness and welcoming to him.

As she listened to what he had to say, her orbs softened with kindness towards him. It was ever so nice of him to ask about having a home in the Foothills, and this was probably what Boltar had said about being welcomed into the herd.
"Hello sir, I'm Saisands, new to Helovia," her voice was soft and kind, it swept melodically across the terra firma. She continued, "I am as a matter of fact, I heard from another, Boltar, about this place. It certainly sounds like a place I would like to settle."

Saisands looked at the sapphire stranger with her cocoa orbs before turning her crown to scan the horizon for a few seconds, taking in the place that could possibly be her new homeland. That is if she was accepted. She wondered if she could ever be a use to a herd, she was all looks and no backbone when it came to fighting. The golden dame wondered if perhaps this was the best idea, it may put some steel into her and transform her into something much more useful...

Evers smiled at the mare when she mentioned Boltar. The blue didn't know him personally or anything, but at least she had been directed here by another from the Herd. All that left for him to do was show her round and find Gossamer for the proper introduction. For now it was polite to invite her in of course. He wondered what kind of a mare she was like, the femme seemed pretty sweet and innocent. Although Evers knew the dark places a heart could fall to, her presence suggested that the personality she presented was truly legitimate. Time would tell, however. "Well then welcome Saisands and I'd like to be the first to welcome you to the Foothill's herd." He gestured to the land before them to go with the rather warm greeting he gave her. It was also his way of saying you are now a member, although it would have to go through Gossamer to decide whether she would stay as a member. It was highly unlikely the Chieftess would disagree, their pearly leader was so dear and kind to them all.

The small brute turned back to the belle and turned a little as if to begin walking. "Care for a tour? I can find our Chieftess so you may have a more formal greeting too" Evers had turned his head to see if she would follow. His blue skin wrinkling in the bend, 3 horns were covering part of his face as lobes stood erect atop a mini pommel. He was glad to find mares like her, constantly surrounded by defected brothers and a psycho mother left the little Scholar wishing for a normal conversation. Not that he disliked any of his mismatched family, in fact there was a love there deeper and more weird than any would ever of experienced. For reasons more morbid than any would care to imagine. Behind the shy, skinny scholar like steed was a story best left to be forgotten. A story that was updated by his mother to this day.

However, for now Evers was content on resting his thoughts on the new femme and showing her around.

A warmth was being handed to Saisands with a genuine gesture by the brute. He was sweet, if not quite shy on occasion. This made the pretty little vixen spread a smile across her soft velveteens towards him, quite by accident. A sweet hearted duchess like herself was subject to all kinds of barrier breakers when it came to kind brutes, such as Evers. With a slight flick of her flaxen tail silks, she pressed closer to him as he spoke further. It was almost a comfort. Even though she had barely exchanged words with the beast, he seemed of good heart and intentions and she instantly took a liking to him.

"And I gladly accept your welcome, Evers." Her soft melodic voice echoed across the terra firma of the Foothills, the breeze carrying it far off into the distance as she came to terms that this was going to be her homeland. Hopefully. Evers turned back to her with more conversation, and she let her orbs find their way into his, hoping to glimpse some of the emotion. The golden vixen listened intently to his voice. The offer to be shown around was too good to turn down, and she hastily accepted with little room for breathe. "I would love to!" Perhaps a little too excited, Saisands danced on her daggers lightly before regaining her posture.

The talk of meeting the Chieftess sent a shiver of nervousness through her, not sure whether to feel honoured or scared about it. It was a daunting prospect, especially for this to be a formal meeting that would decide the fate of her membership into the Foothills herd. However, the warmth and the way that the azure roan brute seemed comfortable around her gave her a little steel in her spine to face it. The sweet beast was a joy to be around for the young diabla. "Lead, the way..." She gestured with an open mind, kind cocoa pools and a warm tone in her voice as she spoke softly to him.
