- Your character has 72 hours to respond to this thread properly
- You must have the quest-related on your wishlist for 1 month.
- Post a link to your wishlist.

Step Two :: The Decision
- God of the Moon will then choose 1-2 characters to take under her wing and give them quests for whatever they choose (Options listed below)
- When the decisions are posted, so will be the rubric.
- You character's name will be put into a "pot" of names 1 additional time for each previous refusal from a drop or a quest
- All numbers, tables and functions will be screenshots for transparency and understanding

The Quest :: Dark or Wind based magic/upgrade, normal companion, marking/appearance alteration, or item (Either related to the God or without any affiliation)
- Winner/s will then continue forward either on a new thread or the tail end of this thread where their desires are stated and the questing begins
- The quests will be traditionally like the veins quests

Silence

The moon rose high in a sky filled by ink and pinpoints of starlight. It was amazing, even to a creature as old as the stars themselves, how vast the sky seemed. She could wander for the entirety of her ageless life, and never reach the sky's end - never be able to count all the stars. It was comforting in a way, to know that her magic encompassed such an eternity of mystery. What did her brothers have? A ball of light, and this rock upon which the mortals dwelt? Ha. Perhaps the God of the Spark could challenge her claim for most bad-assery,but he kept to himself, while she bathed in the moonlight.

Her luxurious coat gleamed a subtle lavender as she descended from the sky on what appeared to be a path of moondust and starlight. Her dainty cloven hooves touched down upon the grasses without sound, as a light sigh escaped her curvacious chest. Her wings folded neatly to her velvety sides, as her leonine tail flicked idly in the cold night of midnight. "The sounds of silence....of the night." She whispered to herself, marveling at how beautiful her midnight world was.

There is no peace on earth</style>

Phaedra hadn't met any in Helovia who glistened quite the way that she did - and so, upon seeing a being descend from the skies with a coat which far outshone her own, Phaedra knew immediately who it must be.

Sea-green gaze rose from the dark grasses, squinting slightly into the night, as what appeared to be a glistening shape of violet streak down from the stars. "You." She whispered softly, gaze narrowing. The moon-bitch, who had cursed her so many seasons ago, and who had made her pregnancy both embarrassing and painful. It was shortly thereafter, that the star-cub had followed her into the depths of the woods, to give her the gift of an eternally star-kissed pelt. He hadn't lingered long - he had been frightened by something, and even then, the mare wondered if it wasn't the moon-bitch, trying to punish him for having mercy upon her.

Picking up a light and easy canter, Phaedra moved towards where the moon-goddess' ebb of light was. Her own sooty coat radiated starlight, pinpoints of it glimmering and flickering in her mane and tail as she danced towards the Goddess. Nearing, Phaedra's head rose confidently as her lean legs finally came to a halt. Her sea-green gaze, ever full of laughter fell upon the celestial being with a look of jealousy and awe. "Hello again, sugar." She offered, by way of greeting.

At her side, Stella trilled rather unhelpfully, not wanting her bonded to get herself into trouble again. The secretary bird remembered better than anyone, the trials and tribulations that Phaedra had faced during those seasons, traversing the land cursed and wicked-looking. Landing upon Phaedra's withers, the bird chirped towards the Goddess, as if somehow knowing that they could both be cursed once again without any provocation.

Kahlua trotted, glass basket in her mouth, towards the heart. She had finally thought of what she would make for Shadow's child and she required a lot more of the Heart's gems than she had now. She had never been able to carry more than a few at a time back to the Edge, but now that she had been gifted with glass crafting by the Lady Moon she had a basket with which she could carry many more. It was quite a surprise, then, that the girl should happen upon no other than the Moon Goddess herself as she moved closer to the burning heat of the Heart.

Now, Kahlua had never seen the Goddess before, but there was no mistaking her. She radiated power and magic and had a deity-like aura about her, even as she just stood there in the grasses. Kahlua could not put her basket down fast enough. The motion was not well practiced, but even so the girl lowered herself into a bow the best she could “My Lady,” she murmured, her heart swelling that she should get such an honor as to finally meet the queen. And when she finally withdrew from her bow, the girl could only stare with child-like amazement that the Goddess should stand before her. She had met Father Earth once, but even that experience could not compare to what she was feeling now. The Goddess of the Moon. The patron of the Edge.

Nearby, there was another who had already come, a sparkling woman that Kahlua vaguely remembered from the aftermath of the invasion. Out of caution, she took a step away from Phaedra; however, in the presence of the Moon Goddess it was hard to imagine that any danger should befall her this day.

The Heart.

She hated this damn place. Her coat thickened for the season’s change and the harsh climate of her home, she rarely ventured this far south unless necessity pressed her to do so. The fires spewing from it’s center left her in a swelter, sweat gathering in sticky pools in the folds of her flesh and along the muscular build of her top line.

Surely it didn’t help that she had run here, or that she was mildly lamed from her abuse of the pegasus mare she’d just left behind her in a bloody heap back at the Thistle Meadow.

Her right leg drew a wince from her with every step, but she was following the Moon; having been born in the land that the Goddess had chosen to reside in, she knew the sight of the night mistress arriving even from the vast distance at which she had spied it. The bright glow of the orb in the sky, the glittering pelt that dropped down from her round and swollen visage heightened the woman’s drive to reach where the shimmering bridge would meet the earth.

The fires of the Heart bloomed upwards in a splendorous back drop as the woman came to a sliding stop before the Goddess, letting the sight of her divine fill her eyes. She had only ever seen her from a distance, having been young and without desire most of her life for the gifts that such power could bestow. But she was feeling quite bold this evening, the blood from the mare she’d beaten washed away in the remainder of the deluge that hadn’t seemed to reach this far south; in fact, it seemed the clouds travelled north and away from this location.

The woman was truly a powerful one.

Her bow is grand and sweeping, dropping to her knees with a pang of pain that she swallows in the motion. Quickly rising to all four hooves, she looks deep and long at the Goddess, preparing for whatever the mighty queen of the night may (or may not) have to share with her.

The other two women already present were ignored. She cared nothing for their blank brows and mutilated shoulders - especially not when in the company of such a glorious sight to behold as the Moon Goddess.

OXY.
I never said that I want this
The orb is a heavy weight on your shoulder, filling out your leather bag and leaving little room for any of your plants. It's mostly a pain in the ass to carry the thing around, especially considering you didn't even want it, but you have it now. Normally, if you didn't want it, you would just throw it to the ground, perhaps smash it to pieces, do whatever it is you have to do to get rid of the thing, but keeping the orb means more to you. Not because it is a companion, not because it will grow to be bonded with your soul, but rather because you can use it- against Ampere. Once the thing is hatched, grown enough that it is in little danger, you're going to find the little blue firecracker and flaunt it in her face that you stole her dreams away. She deserves it.

As for your sides, they're still heavily marred by electric burns. Each step you take is painful, though dulled by constant over-medication. Your brain is hazy, thoughts distant and hard to grasp on to- even harder to keep in place. You are a robot, going through the motions of life, drowning in your efforts to make yourself feel healthy again. Drool falls from your mouth as you stagger this way and that, confused about everything and anything. You don't even know where you are anymore. You just feel heat. Burning heat. And then you realize where you are. You were here not too long ago, some foolish denizens of Helovia trying to jump over the obviously-too-large distance from one side of the fire pit to the other. You never did find out what happened to them, or the orb that was floating over the center of the pit.

Imagine your surprise then, that on your second trip to the Heart you are gifted with your second magical encounter here. There are three girls- one sparkling, one painted and one golden, each paying respects to the lavender hybrid in their own way. At first you don't understand whats going on, but your body moves towards them, as if compelled. A final, stumbling step sends you to the ground before the queen of the night, orb luckily avoiding any damage, burns grinding into the dirt below you and making you wince in pain, even despite the mind-numbing effects of your locoweed plants. Then you just look at her, mind too hazy even to be upset. Will you even remember this encounter in the days to come?

We set fire to our homes,
Walking barefoot in the snow
</style>
There was an endless beauty to be found in the night, it was the masterpiece of the sky and a gateway into another world as well as a guide to those who loved ride along the sea. A woman if any ever saw, for she was far too clever in sleek black and glittering silver. Sacre knew next to nothing about the night and her sparkling cloak, other than it was quite something and how good it would be if just once he could touch it. Like the black abyss himself, the little stained colt was hard to spot against the shadows post sun, perhaps a glimpse red in the moonlight. The Nightshade's son was well accustumed to his evening camouflage. As ever, Sacre was straying a little too far from home and sleeping rough with nature his guiding arm, he wondered if mother disapproved of his disappearances, but the need to know was just too great and Sacre wanted to know everything! Eager hooves took him slightly south of where he was born, passing through the Thistle Meadow with a warm smile, the grassy smell something he would always remember.

Thoughts ranged from dreams of colt-like grandeur to wondering what Roux was up to when finally he came across Helovia's Heart, his mouth agape when he saw her. So dark and beautiful, her presence familiar to the one he remembered from the beach, but she commanded a different kind of respect. Queen of the world, at least, she walked that way. There was another who shimmered too, not quite so suffocating in her presence, but beautiful all the same in a sunnier shimmer and a lanky bird for company. They were not alone either. As Sacre crept closer to the gathering meeting, he noticed the one with black splodges with an echo of recognition from when he had seen the Earth Lord and another, one he knew far better. His own Lady, Illynx. Her abode instantly recognizable with legs dipped in precious gold, clasped in sapphire and platinum. A magnificent weapon upon her head. Last, but not least in his appearance, was a huge stallion who carried his possessions in a leather bound bag, his figure alone enough to intimidate the young boy who had, again, stumbled onto rather important company.

Taking refuge in the one he knew most, Sacre moved towards Illynx timidly, catching the swift bow from his leader and he followed suit with a rather awkward head bob. Feeling a little more at ease in the shadows of his Lady. "Are you... Queen of the stars?" He asked nervously, still not sure in his wild assessment of this fascinating creature before him.

This was a new land to her discovery. She waddled along, her ever-growing body reaching near maturity. It was time to join the realm of Helovia and become one of them. She couldn't escape it anymore, age was moving faster than she was.

Nighttime was covering the sky, the stars poking through the sky. The moon shone bright, the only light among the darkness. She waded through the thick grasses, tickling her belly. A starry, light, dusty path was streaking across the sky, and seemed to land not far off. The darkness rendered her incapable of seeing, but it looked like a shooting star had fallen. Maybe it was her lucky day to make a wish!

She waded through the grasses, giggling as they tickled her belly and approached where the star had landed. She was surprised, to see in it's place to see a unicorn... and a pegasus? Her eyes widened in confusion. She moved carefully past a pretty pegasus, who smelled familiar, but she didn't know who it was. Then looking to see an unfamiliar equine, and also a unicorn. There were so many more beings that existed in Helovia! So many she had never met. She offered a friendly whuff of her nose to those she had already seen.

Then she tried to move closer to the fallen star. Noticing a very scary looking equine who had two horns like that unicorn in the threshold. Maybe they were brothers. Then she noticed a unicorn colt, who looked rather pretty and unique actually. Her eyes widened at the young one like her and offered a smile, moving towards his direction, feeling like she'd be safer next to a young one like herself. She was still wanting to stay near the fallen star. "Are you a fallen star? Can I make a wish?" Her eyes widened, taking in the lavender being, the star she had just seen fall from the sky. Maybe she was fallen like Micha was.

By the name of Oblivion she had failed twice; twice ousted, twice defeated, twice turned out to die in the Wilds. But she had not died. For long months she lived, emaciated and sickly, her lungs rattling with the breath of Death, but her heart beat on and her blood keep pulsing through her veins. She was despicable; she couldn't even die for the sake of her foul honor, no, no, no! HA!

Who was Confutatis, the Queen of Skulls, the Lady Death? A failure. Still, she fought on, battered her way through the darkest days and longest nights with her teeth bared and foam dripping from her acid mouth, full of bottled poison and silent fury.

She would make them pay.
Every single one.

The hellion moved silently, black wraith followed by blacker shadow, her kitsune trotting at her heels, small and weak, covered in scars from her poison kisses. He was more useless than a fucking rat, but she kept him anyway. It thrilled her, to feel the rough rage of his mind burning next to hers, sharp as a bloody knife next to her shambling thoughts, wicked and twisted. They moved towards the red heat of Hell on earth, in hopes it would warm their shriveled hearts, and the sun descended from its zenith, till the world was black as her charcoal coat and the stars glittered in swathes thick and bright across the sky.

It smelled of ash and death, and she liked that, marveled at the scent of lingering heat, let it warm her to her frozen bones.

And she spied more gathering on the horizon, all the colors of horses, red and brown and black and golden. Phaedra. She recognized the slut with a sneer, lips curling back into mockery of a grin, stalking forward closer to them, hatred glinting in her eyes. Fucking whore. Mongrel quickened, joining his mind to hers in curiosity, riffling through the hateful memories.

And he barked outloud in laughter. Ha ha ha.

But Confutatis' gaze is soon drawn the slut to the lavender mare, crowned with wings and horns, and she inhales, snot dribbling down from her nostrils, curiosity filling up her blind eyes. "She is a GOD." The Lady of nothing hisses, recoils, muscles flexing, turning her head away.

Can the Moon Goddess read her mind? Can she tell how Confutatis hungers for her approval, for guidance and counselling...

For a blessing?

E R I S

The words that were spoken in front of her made her anger peak, before her stood Confutatis. The Blood Empress moves forward, her movements unusually graceful and elegant. Perhaps it was the rage, she felt smothered by it, the emotion controlled her. Her legs carried her forward, and her sleek form come to a stop beside Confutatis. "Well, well, well." A giggle tumbled from her lips, it wasn't a friendly giggle however. It was cold, frozen. Still The Empress decided to leave the traitor for a moment and focussed on the goddess before her. The rage still boiled within her, only as Eris looked over the Moon Goddess, she found it easier to ignore the traitor of The Asylum. Her head dipped down respectfully, her blue eyes were quick to raise however. Spotting Oxy, the mare decided it would be best to leave the traitorous bitch alone while under the gaze of a god. So her hooves carried her across the hot earth and The Empress stopped next to the mad stallion. A flick of the head in recognition of her fellow family member. "Hello Oxy." Eris smiled at him before coming back to the Moon Goddess. She had never met another god before. Tilting her head, The Empress smirked.

"My lady." As Eris looked over the Goddess, she came to the realisation that once again she had a small chance of gaining something from this meeting. Once before she had seen the earth god, he had been impressive as well...although maybe a little too kind for Eris' tastes. Still, she had heard the rumour that the dark lady before her wasn't always the sweetest magical queen around. Now this was more to Eris' tastes. Still the Vermillion queen would not grovel at the Goddess' hooves, no, the Queen would remain respectfully silent and happily await the decision of The God, for in the end it was she who decided who (if anyone) won a precious gift from her.

Silence interrupted

The Goddess' light gaze fell upon Phaedra, her velvety lips turning upwards in a sneer. She had been impressed with the resolve that the girl had shown so long ago, when her body had been cursed and broken - it had showed a kind of strength that the Goddess respected. But she did like to brag about her troubles, now didn't she? "You've certainly done well for yourself, spy" The Goddess replied, before turning her attention elsewhere.

Her gaze fell upon the industrious glazier of her herd. The mare possessed far more muscle than the Goddess' own standards of beauty permitted, but there was still something about her...something fitting. "Hello daughter of the Edge." She offered with a smile. She had heard that Kahlua and another had made creations for each of the other herds...and while this did not necessarily displease the Goddess, she did indeed wonder why such lengths were needed. Was her herd not strong? Were they not hidden in the night, and in the mists? Constantly under her watch? Regardless..."Your work has not gone unnoticed, Glazier." The Goddess exhaled, and a silvery mist bloomed from her wings, softly ebbing towards Kahlua. The mist began to glow, and then settle gently around her form, finally covering the mare completely before disappearing. "Let your hooves rest for now, there are faster ways to travel."

Next the Goddess turned to look at Illynx, Lady who ruled over the formed home of d'Art and Mesec. While she hadn't been informed of what prompted those decisions - the minds of mortals can be so fleeting - it had come to her attention that the Basin had changed somewhat. In the mare's mind, the Goddess could see the magic that she wished for. "You who are under the watch of my brother, come seeking me, and wish for a combination of magics? Just where do your loyalties lay, Lady?"

However the Goddess' attention is drawn away, as Oxy crashed at her hooves. With clear disdain in her gaze, her lilac shape retreats a few steps, nose held high with disgust. Maybe she ought to return to the veins - this sort of nonsense never happened there. And if it did...well, the sea was always there to swallow up all who annoyed her.

Next, a small voice caught her attention, but it wasn't so much the voice, but the smell. This was a child of d'Art's, surely. "I am indeed, young one." She cooed softly, stepping towards him. In his mind, she saw another like him - a twin, she assumed - and the gift that he sought. Were her mood more foul, she might have thought the sentiment stupid and meaningless, but today it struck her as resourceful. After all, what other options did these mortals have, for keeping their own safe? "I see what you desire, dark one" She whispered softly. "Take this - and keep it safe" - In his mane a bright red flower suddenly bloomed. The magic that bound it to the course strands, only extended insofar as it held it there - but the blossom itself was unprotected. "If you wish to protect him darling, you must know what it is to hurt another, and to be prepared to lose. Keep this flower safe until then."

Pulling away, she turned to Micha, lilac nostrils flared slightly. "No darling, I am not. I am all of the stars that are swallowed in the darkness. But you are too young for what you seek...perhaps you shall find me again later, when you've grown."

Confutatis' dark mind pulls her interest, and the Goddess' moonlit gaze turns to her without emotion. She approves of the dark mare's efforts, however misguided they might be. Speaking directly to Confutatis' mind, the Goddess offered these words of advice: "You sneer at the one who sparkles beside you, but you lost to her herd. She glistens, while you hide in the darkness. She makes allies, while you make enemies. I know what you seek...but you must be patient. You must become the darkness, not merely hide in it. You cannot do this alone, dark one, you must fool them. Fool them into following you."

Lastly, as if to reinforce her message to Confutatis, she nodded welcomingly to Eris, co-leader of the crazed band that she had heard so much about. This mare, Confutatis should strive to emulate - she and others like her. In her mind, she saw an image of a bird, and frowned slightly. A bird? How common. But...mortals often did baffle her. "Alright Dark Empress. Find me the components of what you seek: feathers, a bird skull, and bones. But this alone you understand, will not create the life you desire. For your companion to live, another must die. When you have all of the items you seek, and you have crushed the life from another, you shall have your companion."

Congratulations!

Kahlua has been gifted the ability to turn into mist once again. This will last for two weeks.

Sacre has been given a quest! He now has a red flower in his mane - he must either attack, steal from, or hurt in some way of his choosing, three others who he has nothing against, or that he will likely suffer bad consequences from doingso.

Eris has been given a quest! She must find bird feathers (from an actual companion), a bird skull (separate thread), and bones (again, separate thread). Then she must kill another for her companion to have life - this can either be a character, or NPC'd. Tag the RE account once this is complete.

Devoid of any care for the others who had arrived to gaze upon the Moon, she watches the movements of the night queen with apt attention, hearing the words she gave to those before her but giving little other mind to them. A jealous look is spared the painted Glazier, a face that seems to constantly reappear in her life.

She wonders as to the point of such things, if there is any.

Her eyes are torn away from the gifts bestowed upon Kahlua, however, as the Goddess’ attentions turn her way. Her mouth falls from a star struck grin into a line of displeasure with the questioning. The Moon should know why it is she is who she has become; a large portion of it is due entirely to that damn Glazier’s forest herd, the Goddess before them who consistently chose to bless Mirage with her gifts rather than the truly deserving.

Bitterly, she tries to swallow her pride before she speaks, the quivering the traces along her frame at such insults to her ego. "Let the Father of Spark take no offense or think that I am ungrateful for his blessings, mistress," coolly replies the mare, proud of herself for maintaining such a steady tone and pitch – there is not a hint of needy squalor or chaotic rage, "but my heart has always been yours. Perhaps you have forgotten… but I was born beneath your light, and there I will always be."

She ceases her explanation and begins to slip away from the gathering, taking her leave before the last of the gifts is extended to the group who has come to worship her appearance. Perhaps the aching of her heart at yet another rejection from the Goddess is evident upon her face; she does not care and does not try to hide her feelings of displacement and misunderstanding.

It is possible, she thinks, that she has wasted her life loving something that could not even be bothered to know her at all. But why would the Goddess be bothered?

She was, after all, a member of the most despicable association on the continent. Perhaps she deserved to be so ostracized by her own beloved deity.

The Goddess' starlit gaze turned to Illynx; her lilac lips spread in a thin line of disdain. "Perhaps I have forgotton?!", the Godddess retorted with a cool glare. Her voice was like a delicate flower, frozen with a layer of beautiful frost. "Let this be your only warning Illynx, do not presume to tell me what I do or do not know. What you might have forgotten, is your recent little Invasion against the Edge." Her wings lightly fanned at her sides, before falling elegantly against her flanks once more. "My light is no longer for you, queen of the damned. You, who live in the cold and the darkness of my brothers land, and attack those over whom I watch. My life is long, while yours is short. I forget nothing, Illynx. "
