You terrify her, this poor girl who was just innocently strolling through the forest, but the look of terror on her face and in her eyes makes you smile, but half of your face is always smiling, isn't it? She heeds your command and she runs while you stand and watch her rather than give chase because you don't chase. You are no two-bit predator, you are queen. You will stalk her and track her until she can no longer run and you will stand over her while she begs for you to let her go... but you won't. While she begs you the only thing you will be doing is trying to decide where you want to cut her first. You think that pretty face of hers is tempting. You could pluck an eye out with your horn, or if you really felt like it just shove your horn into her skull and end her life.

But that would do you no good.

Her steps have died down into nothingness and it is then that you start after her. In her panic she has left a clear trail for you to follow and you make a noise of disapproval in the back of your throat. You want a challenge and this mare will not give you the challenge you crave. As you walk you begin to hear her steps again and your ears fall back against your head and you are left in even more of a state of disapproval. What did you expect?

The closer you get the louder she becomes and the more dissatisfied with the hunt you become. Finally you've had enough and your magic bursts forth and seeks out her body and when it enters you constrict her airways and leave her gasping for breath. Does she know what's happening? Does she know its you already and that she's not gotten far enough away to save herself? You smile again because you know there is nothing she could have done to save herself. The moment she stepped foot into your forest she had sealed her fate.

When you get to her she is writhing on the forest floor, eyes wide and fearful as she stares up at your skeletal face. How ugly you are. How fearsome and terrifying and so utterly perfect. "You did not run fast enough." You tell her, your voice emotionless and nearly robotic. Your gruesome face appears almost stoic as you lower your head and press the tip of your horn against her shoulder. You shift your weight and your horn sinks into her flesh and her blood rushes forth, so fresh and sweet smelling. You drag your head down, slitting her flesh and then you do it again, over and over until her sides are littered with lacerations caused by you.

You move to her neck and and you press the tip of your horn into it, but you do not stop when it pierces her flesh. You keep pushing until your horn is nearly halfway buried in her neck. Its a miracle that you haven't hit any arteries that would make her bleed out before the infection you want to taint her with takes effect. You pull your horn out and you cut across her face face with it and when you're done she has a menagerie of cuts and that lovely stab wound you've placed in her neck. Her face is bleeding and you lick the blood from her face and you think it tastes good. Much better than those spoiled apples you'd eaten last season.

As you step back you say nothing to the mare who is still gasping for breath and writhing in pain. Finally, you release your magic and your ears tilt forward as you wait for her tortured screams to finally burst forth.
