BEYOND HERE LIES NOTHING
The evening mist clung to my muzzle, clouding breath with each cool exhale. I smiled at the star which illuminated heaven above-the cold darkness seemed appealing enough to beckon us from our resting place and into the skies for a midnight gallop. We raced on, playing sky tag and other childish games that foals used to occupy idle hours. Indeed it was hard to not feel alive and youthful on a night like this. The whole of Helovia seemed to sigh in sweet release, not an ounce of anger, regret. We could simply be.
Our journey led us out of Dragon's Throat with no destination particularly in mind. Thistle Meadow came into view; wheat fields abloom before the first frost. While flying overhead an unusual tree caught my eye. It was grand, tall and proud. Standing like a lone sentinel over the valley. Full limbs are decorated with various trinkets and shiny things—and at the top was something even more extraordinary. A phoenix. Fina chirps happily, singing to the flaming bird with gleeful delight. Something glimmered below, calling....
Various creatures had gathered, would their be room for me to explore this strange wonder?
