Windwalker Tell Me, Would You Kill To Save A Life? None of the words he had in his vocabulary or words other had shared with him, was enough to name the gratitude he felt towards the one-winged mare that walked at his side. He felt less alone with her, like his history and opinion of others did not matter nor brought so much hurt into his life. If it existed a godess on this earth or in the sky, she was his and he knew, deep into his heart, that what she had done for him, no matter how small or feeble in her eyes, that he would do anything for her in the blink of an eye. Because of this, he accepted both her silence and apology with a slight nod of his head and a smile. He wished he could do more for her than just be himself, even if those thoughts scared him. He had never done anything for anyone else and truth be told, he did not know how to do it. Or worse, he did not know how to be a proper friend. He would try though, not stopping until he got it right. This he promised silently to himself as they stopped at the edge of life itself. The water. Not even the beauty of this treacherous, but necessary element was enough to make him loose his focus on her. When she spoke, he drew in every word and stored them securely in his memory, but, as a stallion not used to physical contact, they soon faded as her whiskers brushed against him. "I do not forget, Africa. I only accept things as they are so they will not happen again." He gently closed the space between them as he spoke, and as the last words left his lips, he shared the air with her. If he pushed at her boundaries or crossed them, he would take the lesson and learn from it. But in this moment, he just wanted to show the pureness of the trust he felt in every inch of his body. "Someday I will master the sky" He said it like a whisper, as if the words could break if they were spoken too loudly.
