She found herself back in the heart after her encounter with a goddess.. the goddess of the moon, the star born. It was mystifying actually, how she descended from the sky, her purple being resonating an air of royalty. It was almost to the point that Micha thought her vain, but she still held the goddess in the utmost respect.

She was back, wandering closer towards the mysterious crackling crater she had seen earlier. It had distant sounds of hissing and crackling, the remnants of the insurmountable amount of heat that was no doubt trapped and brewing below. As she moved from the tall grass to the dying foliage, the heat increased, almost to a choking amount. She couldn't imagine this place in summer. She remembered how hot the threshold had been then, and the thought of that magnified a thousand times made her cringe. She was so entranced by the glowing bowl. Like the goddess, it held a large amount of power. Although not as straightforward, this place could no doubt be the end of Helovia if the earth did so decide to do so.

Making sure to keep good footing, and to keep herself from falling in, she moved towards the clay and tall grass border. Her growing body still was not full grown, stuck in the little body of a foal. She was so close though, so close to being the grown horse she wanted and needed to be. She needed a purpose, she was going stir crazy from sitting around too much. She kind of hoped someone would wander along to give her something to do, even if just for a short conversation.

Dust, being the curious colt he was, wandered. He had wandered away from Africa for the first time. And it felt good. Now that he knew how to fly a little better. Alina, a dove-winged mare he had met had taught him a little more about flying. It felt good to know how to fly, have him the feeling of more freedom. More choices in life.

Speaking of wandering, he had wandered not too far from the Throat. It was good for him to get out into the lands of Helovia more. He smiled at the thought of meeting someone new. Someone to talk to, be friends with. Maybe something stronger. But now, he was in a land of heat. His forehead was drenched in sweat, mane stuck to his body from the heat. He made his way towards the heat source, trying to see what was inside. When he was fairly close, a large burst of lava sprouted from it, then fell back down into the fiery abyss. It was scary actually. Knowing a large pit of lava was right beside his home. It was an interesting sight, yes. Just scary. He squinted as he peered over the edge that felt like it would fall from under his feet at any second. He backed away as a small rock broke off the side where he was standing and feel, down, down, down. It made a small bubble after landing on the liquid surface, then drowning under.

Dust was now wary of the edge and took a few steps back. His heart pounding faster now that he had seen something that small fall under the surface so quickly. Now, he wanted to go home. Not of being scared, but the feeling of not-belonging. This place gave him a fiery slap on the back. Filled with uneasiness. This place was like nothing he had ever seen before. Different. But not too far away, -he squinted to see- was another being. It was a small figure like him. A foal! Maybe they could become friends! Dust wanted to run, but the lake of fire felt like it was pulling him down, challenging him to keep going.

After a few tries at running, he finally put enough force on it. His heart raced as he picked up speed. Casting a long shadow over the ground on his left side. This was fun! Running on hard rock. Molten lava. It was hard underhoof, and very uncofortable to scrape your legs on. But Dust didn't care. He was going to meet a new friend!

The fiery rumble of the lava pit could be heard, and the warmth was still radiating. There was no way that any place could be hotter, she decided with an indignant stamp of her hoof. Honestly... why would the Goddess of Moon, or if there were more, them, create such a fiery, hot, and rather uncomfortable place to be? She snorted again, almost getting ready to leave as the sweat beaded across her dark, brown body.

Then, something not far off caught her eye. That of another foal. He was wings, a baby peggy-sus? How cool! Her eyes lit up with excitement as the prospective foal gallivanted along the dark, hard, volcanic rock. She moved carefully on the barren clay, to meet him at the edge of volcanic rock and clay, a bright smile on her face. She flipped her hair a little bit, and flinging her forelock off her face, revealed her wonky and irregular marking. The sign of her "impurity". She realized this a little too late, but kept her calm and hope that the colt wouldn't notice. The more detailed inspection worried her also. He had no white markings, maybe he was a Steelhoove colt. She hoped and prayed he was not, for he would be very far from his mother steel if he was. Another plus for her was that he was a pegasus, and as far as she had known, which honestly was not that much, pegasi did not exist within the hold.

None of this panic showed as the wonky smile continued to radiate off her face. A playful whinny was given and a slight playful rear sprung from her hind quarters. "Hello there!" She nickered, stamping her feet playfully. Sure she was a little too excited, but this was the first foal she had contact with since.... forever. She'd never met another foal except Lizzie, and she was never allowed to openly associate with her. This was such a new and fascinating experience. "I'm Micha! Who are you, and can you fly with those yet?!" She asked, a little too eagerly motioning towards the wings that adorned the grey colts back. "I can't do anything cool..." She muttered, referring to her lack of wings, and the lack of a large stick protruding from her head. "Do you have a mommy here?" She asked, wondering if maybe there were other mommy-less foals here too. She still hadn't exactly figured out that you need a daddy too... Well, eventually she would have to learn.

Dust galloped closer and closer, his heart racing. He wanted to meet a new friend so badly, his hooves, pushed the gravely ground harder and harder. It was different for his body to control him, but it was that now. When he got there, the girl had reared. Whinnying a hello. Dust was surprised, he did not know how happy this girl would be to see him, a man she had never seen or met before. Be she did not apologize for her act, she just simply, went along. She asked him two questions, and introduced herself int he same sentence. Wow. "I am Dust, and yes, I can fly with them!" He said happily. Alina had taught him when they had raced Africa to the lake of wonders. Micha spoke again, only to sound sadder. She said she couldn't do anything cool. "Do you have powers?" He asked her looking up at her. He knew regular equines could have powers, even though no horn had topped their head.

She asked another question, if he had a mommy. Dust for one, didn't know what a mommy was. Was it a protector, because if it was, he did not. But he answered anyway. "I don't know what a mommy is" He said looking at his hooves. "But..." he began but didn't finnish. He didn't want to over talk. Even though he usually did. This filly made him think different. She made him want to be better than what he was then. She was different, and he liked it. She could form him to a real man in no time. But he was not sure Africa would like it. Nor Alina. They were the only ones that had brought him to the lake. But he still remembered Orinthia, a beautiful black mare he had met when he firs came to helovia. But Dust couldn't think about them now! He had a new friend to accompany, and this was just the beginning.
