Enna had slipped away as soon as she could after her meeting with
mother. A swirl of strange emotions fluttering about in her mind. It
was a long while before she raised her gaze and found herself at the
edge of a great ocean. She had walked until they calmed and she came
to the realization of several things. Firstly, the need for evil had
left with mother's disapproval. Oddly enough, she realized that this
had been foalish behavior. Secondly, that she was not a passive as her
mother wanted her to be. She enjoyed manipulating and controlling far
too much. Lastly, she also realized that she had no idea to what
amount of manipulating she would enjoy. She still didn't really know
herself very well at all.

With a shrug Enna dismissed all these serious thoughts for a romp
playing at the waves. She never went deeper that just above her
hooves, but it was a fun game to play, running towards and away from
the waves. Her redish gold hide glimmered in the sun as she moved and
her long, delicate, redish mane flowed about her in a swirl, just like
her mother's. As she played, the edges of her feathers, a gift from
her father's blood, became a bit damp and chill until she was forced
to stop and lay upon the sandy beach to catch her breath. She was
euphoric, content, so many things at once. The thought briefly
surfaced in her mind that, if this was what horses felt like when
Touched by her, she truly has a wonderful power indeed. She lay there,
a pretty speck of gold upon the sand, catching her breath and laughing
at her freedom.

He is here again, hooves planted firmly in the smooth sands. Dei plays
in the shifting tides, occasionally dipping below the surface and
exploring the shoal of sand, trying to catch fish. The dun colt only
watches him, enjoying the cool shade a grove of palmtrees gives him.
He likes this endless beach, it reminds him of his broken home. Pawing
the sand nervously, he sends waves of dry particles into the air. "But
all broken things can be fixed." he mutters, walking along the
shoreline, hooves digging crescent-shaped holes into the sand.

While his bronze companion plays in the clear oceanwater, wet bronze
scales glittering like the sun itself, the colt begins to explore the
coast, trying to find someone else to talk to for his bonded was
obviously too preoccupied.

Softly, foamy brine laps at his heels, begging him into the water. The
dun considers this for a moment, gingerly testing the ocean with a
striped hoof. He cringes, bounding away with uncharacteristic energy,
flying across the beach like some wild thing.

But his joyous race is cut abruptly when he almost trips over a golden
filly lying on the sand. Balking, he sends a spray of sand splattering
in all direction. His sensitive skin itches where the evil little
grains have chafed against it. The colt mumbles inaudibly, watching
the older girl apologetically.

Her relaxed, happy body was laughing when the younger colt tripped
over her outstretched form. At first she was annoyed her coat had been
ruined, then she saw the golden young colt before her, and she was
suddenly quite ok. She hadn't seen a horse with such perfect coloring,
such gracious lines of conformation. He was surely of good breeding
and, for being so young, he was quite handsome. He made her both
uncomfortable and happier at the same time, for here was another foal,
her age, whom she could hopefully play with. She giggled at the
gorgeous gold's shyness before replying in her a happy voice,
surprising even herself, "Oh, don't worry about that. I was just
playing around and it was hard to see me anyways. I'm Enheduanna of
the Windtossed Foothills, but everyone just calls me Enna. What's your
name, Golden One?"

Dear gods, she thought, what was getting into her? First the happy
voice and then outright friendliness? Her skin subconsciously shook at
the sand in her coat. Restless, she stood up and revealed her
beautiful coat of pale red gold. A brilliant mixture of colors her
coat was, the inheritance of her royal lineage, and even with some
sand it still shone brilliantly in the dull winter sun. She looked at
the colt as she thought that this openness would have to be quelled in
the future, or, at the very least, she would need to remind herself to
plot about how best to control the horse in front of her and make them
love her most. She wanted to scold herself but couldn't find a path to
the action when she was so ridiculously happy. She had heard the
muscled young colt, in his wanderings before he tripped, mention that
all broken things could be fixed and was impossibly curious as to what
her meant. However, experience told her it would most likely turn
badly if she said right away she had been listening when she wasn't
supposed to be, and decided to wait until later.

He expects this pretty filly with her shiny golden hide to yell at him
for interrupting her beauty rest, but instead, she is laughing as if
it is no big thing to almost run upon her like a stampede of one.
Taken aback, the colt flicks his tail, vibrant blue eyes wide with
incomprehension. From what he has seen, he perceives girls to be
strange things, whimsical creatures of lace and frill. But this girl
lays in the sand. She does not bask underneath the cool shade, like
he.

The filly responds to his quiet, feverish muttering with a cheerful
tone and his ears flick forward. "My name is Jackal." He responds, the
glimmering bronze banking towards them, landing suddenly on his back
and chirping a greeting to the similarly metallic girl. "And this is
Dei."

She stands up, fine sand raining from her thick winter hide like the
heavy snow he had encountered before coming to this coastal paradise.
Striped hooves prance backward, to allow her the luxury of breathing
space. "You're from the ..Windtossed Foothills, right?" The dun asks
carefully, eyeing her with interest, perhaps she can offer him, Dei
and Ned a home. He is tired of wandering, tired of living under
bridges. Maybe this filly could help him burn them?

The colt before me introduces himself as Jackal, with his dragon being
named Dei. The metallic dragon which accompanies him strikes a vein of
jealousy with me. My mother was over ten and had only gotten her
dragon when she was three, or something like that(I couldn't remember
exactly how old she'd said she was), and here was this colt, younger
than me, who had a BRONZE dragon. But, then again, perhaps that only
served to make him all the more enticing. That and he really was
handsomely amazing for his age. I meet his gaze for a moment and I
find I have to restrain a nervous giggle. Oh, apparently I am destined
to become completely undone at this meeting.

He asks if I'm from the Windtossed Foothills after I've already told
him I am and my enchantment falls for a moment before my young brain
is tossed out by hormones. He was so handsome. I lower my lids and
gaze out from underneath my long lashes at him with a sweetly warm
expression. It is a pleasure to meet you Jackal and with a nod to the
bronze, And you as well bronze Dei He asks and I reply to his question
in an entrancing voice, Yes I am, handsome Jackal. My dam, Gossamer,
leads with my sire Indy as well as Smoke. I get the sudden urge to
touch him, to make him tingle, and I can't resist. So I do. With
tentative steps I make my way close enough to stretch out my neck and
gently brush my muzzle upon the gilded hide of his own, a sign of
greeting. Though, as I do this, I channel the Euphoria within me and
let out a tendril of it into his skin. I let just enough seep out to
make him tingle with the pleasure of meeting somehorse you're
attracted to. That inextricable moment when you think you've
connected, sparked with someone. Of course, he was a male so he could
always just find this pleasurable or something...but my aim was the
motive above.
