The Poisoner

Emboldened by her respite with Locket, and the hope-inspiring news Arrane had shared, the Poisoner is alert and focused for the first time since she had left- no. Don't think about it. She forces it from her head, deliberately clearing it away like dust before it settles on her and breaks her resolve. She is strong. She is resilient. She can handle this. With the knowledge that Ktulu is not lost to her, she can continue on. She will continue on, as she always has and always will. Nothing can stop her, and nothing ever has. This is nothing in comparison. She moves with purpose towards the exit of the Sanctuary, ready to risk her life to bring her beloved back to the realm she belongs, when she is shoved to the side by a crazed looking stallion, seeming hell-bent on a destination she must have passed. Whipping around with a snarl and bared teeth, she stalks after him. He is manic in his desire to get wherever the hell he's going, but that doesn't matter to her. Only when he targets an herb box does she halt, regarding him in surprise. What the hell was he doing, and why? He certainly did not seem the healer.

It is further proven when he flips the top off and begins hunting through it like a trough, the pig. A cry echoes from nearby, and she recognizes it as one of the Edge healers, though she can hardly recall her name. It's pitiful, the way she tries to intervene, and Lakota grits her teeth. She's so pathetic, and Lakota...well, she was always the one to take in the kicked puppies and drenched kittens. Her cries tear at her heart, but Lakota simply knows that the long-haired damsel will not stop the crazed stallion, and he had already doomed himself by pissing her off when he shoved into her so rudely. "Hey asshole!" she shouts. Ears pinned she speeds up once more, streaking forward and slamming her right shoulder into the soft spot right behind his elbow, straight against the ribs. She may be slim, but she can pack a punch for sure, and once he is shoved away from the box she stands as tall as she can- cursing her short stature- and bares her teeth ferociously.

"Back the fuck off, the lady said it's hers!" She reaches deep into herself, and her magic spikes eagerly, her emotions driving it higher and stronger until mist swirls across the cavern floors. It pricks the skin on her nape, and everyone around should be able to recognize that it is dangerous, poisonous. Magic has that kind of feeling to it, where you know if it's insidious or not. The poison she chooses, much like rifling through a cabinet of labeled jars, is one that will make him painfully sick and weak, but not kill him. She doesn't know who this stray dog belongs to, but she doesn't want to make any more enemies than necessary. Wouldn't be worth the sigh she'd surely wrench from Apollo.

"Don't even think about moving, asshole. Unless you want to vomit up whatever you just ate." Aodaun is at her side, huge and intimidating, sharp fangs bared and a low growl filling the caverns like thunder with how loud it is. Turning briefly, assured that Ao has their prey pinned with his gaze, she sends her own over her shoulder to check on the meek girl. "Hey, take care of your box, okay? I've got this bastard." Her eyes narrow at the mention of him and she flicks her mane like the aristocratic bitch she totally is, and turns to watch him wearily. The mist is pooled along the floor, within her control, a barrier Oxy wouldn't want to cross if he had any brain cells left. She just had to make sure no idiotic bypasser would happen into it. She really didn't want to clean up the mess if they did.
