She had decided to come, and with the turn of a dime and a nod to the females, haunches sprung back chest heaving forth and lunging into the drifts of snow, powder following behind in a spray of mush. Hoping the duo could keep up, he thundered across the Threshold, and leaps from the shelter of the pine into an open field. The rolling hills of glittering snow against the setting sun was indeed beautiful, but with night fall upon their backs, the danger only increased with the sinking of the sun. Chest heaving, lungs burning from the cold, as his aching muscles fatigued but strain to keep his pace fluid and full of momentum. Audits pivoting upon his obsidian crown as he banked his motion to the right, and pressed harder across the frozen blades of dead foliage into the direction of the caves. Sweat beading and freezing upon his skin as heavy breaths heaved from his lungs, mist and haze huffing around his lips into the cold winter air. The closer they got, the warmer the climate became. The heart of Helovia off in the distance, is red glow of liquid fire radiated against the winter sky. Crimson pools gazed back, hoping to catch a glimpse of the equine mare with the ink splashed face. Lobes listening for hoof beats, although it was masked behind his own thundering theme as the terrain changed tune below him. The hiss of snow turned into the slosh of mud, water and hard stone as his hooves made solid contact with the base of the cave entrance. Gazing below, he didn't stop but continued and entered the blackness, eyes doing their best to recourse from being snow-blind, as he let a bellowing wicker erupt from his lungs along the cave walls- it echoed as a song would on a mountain range. Easing his pace, he turned a soft corner and gazed upon the glowing room before him, the distant sound of water fluttering around the cave walls, it wasn't irritating- but soothing. And he couldn't help but remember meeting Quinn here, what a laughing stock that was. His weight shifted, barrel heaving as he did his best to catch his breath. Snow and ice melting from his fine onyx fibers and dripping from his chest, nose and legs. One hot, freezing mess. Crimson orbs turned to the entrance to the room; hoping the pair of mares had kept pace. @[Coika] @[Elsa] Open to anyone! Nato |

COIKA dancing in the dark in the pale moonlight She was almost startled at the stallion’s sudden spin and take-off. He wasted no time leading the pair through the icy Threshhold. As the temperature rose in new territory, Coika’s wound throbbed and stung with its thaw. Now she could say she was hurt. But she pressed on, ignoring the pain as she thundered behind Nato, desperate to stay close as possible. To lose him now would certainly mean disaster. He was but a blur spraying clouds of fine snow behind him, but she managed to keep him in her sight. Hearing the click of his hooves on stone gave Coika second wind, and in a rush of adrenaline, she spurred herself forward. The cave was near. Incredible relief was felt when her hooves, too, met the stone. She followed now by sound rather than sight as her eyes adjusted to the dark. Soon, she’d turned the corner and was met with Nato’s silhouette against a warm glow. She stopped abruptly, gazing in awe at the chamber. A quiet nicker was sent forth before the mare took off in a curious trot around the glowing chamber. She turned back toward Nato, and ears pricked forward. Elsa? She paced forward toward the mouth of the chamber, pausing to listen for the angel’s approach. Though, the pain from her shoulder was ever-nagging and fatigue was setting in. She turned, dancing to the glowing wall. Knees buckled, and she lowered herself to the ground, her side pressed against the wall. Still, she listened. ”Elsa?” she directed toward Nato. Perhaps he could hear what she could not above the distant roar of running water. The warmth took its toll. Coika’s neck stretched out and her head lay gently on the stone ground. Heavy became her eyelids, and soon she was lulled by the water’s song. @[Nato] @[Elsa] "talkie talkie talkie" nothing scares me anymore
