The GOD of the SUN

Burn the whole world down

The God of the Sun watched as they all came, and though the group was small, they had hearts for many more. Soon, herds would come to his shrine to receive drops of the sun and kisses of flame, but he had to prove himself. He wasn't sure where this change of heart came from, if it truly was a change of heart. The God knew who and what he was, and the mortals should fear and love him. However, as he looked upon all of these new faces, he realized that they were foreign. Those who had been born and lived here so many hundreds of years ago were gone. They did not know who he was.

But now they would.

The god listened to them one by one and answered them in turn, eyeing Kahlua first with a raised brow. Was she not a servant of his sister? Should he be honest? Ask her to leave the Edge? No... well, not yet anyway. "I am in need of nothing right now, but why don't you stick around and enjoy the conversation?"

When the blue stallion asked about Onni, he frowned. "I believe she is safe, away from the darkness that was sick. However, my sight does not reach far beyond Helovia," he said quietly. "We can only pray for her return."

The pegasus boy, usually seen following Midas around, declared his loyalty to the Throat and the Sun God smiled. "I am pleased to hear that you shall remain in my lands, Cera," he said quietly. "Do you know what you intend to do to help?" he asked, interested in the boy's response.

A child approached, speaking of her mother, and the God paused to explore her features. Of course, he recognized the dam. Poor lass at least got an opportunity to use the powers. Her child was lovely as well, and he nodded. "I did, and her soul is at peace, passed on to the life that is after this one," he rumbled quietly. "Do you wish to follow in her hoof steps? Join my followers?"

Three newcomers praised him, and he smiled back warmly. "Greetings to you all and welcome. As long as you call this place your home, you are not foreign." He nodded in turn to Silk and Hector, looking upon the group who had gathered.

"I ask you now why you believe this sickness and darkness came over Helovia?" he said, seeking their answer, expression nearly void of emotion.
