Lloyd stood on the edge of the great cliffs, enjoying the last of the suns warming rays as it sunk beneath the horizon. The mist had already rolled in right up to the cliffs, disguising the fall that lay beneath. He dreaded to think what would happen if a foolish foal ever misplaced a hoof here. Putting the thought out of his mind, he swayed gently in the breeze as it became stronger, ruffling his dark mane, and, with a last glance at the dying fire in the sky, he sleepily closed his eyes.
But of course, one can never be peaceful for too long in this land. With a jerk he awoke to the sound of the herds king's bellowing voice. There was to be a meeting. Lloyd rolled his eyes and looked around, he soon spotted his leader, and many other horses from the herd. The mist that had only just touched the rocky edge of the cliffs before he slept now covered his hooves, he appeared to be floating. With a sigh, he turned on the spot and trotted leisurely towards his herd.
Closest to the meeting spot but last to be there, typical, he thought as he reached the horses. His dark orbs glanced quickly at each member he then dipped his head politely. "I'm Lloyd for those of you who didn't know that" he coughed "Oh and er, sorry for being late" He stood next to a mare, who had a rather shiny and almost completely black coat, apart from the bolts of white in mane and tail, and on her hind quarters. She was small compared to him, but then so were most horses. He noticed every member of the herd was a unicorn, not a horse or thankfully a Pegasus in sight.
Lloyd looked back at the king Mauja, who's spotted white coat looked almost orange in the dying light. He then waited patiently for the meeting to start, wondering what it could possibly be about.
