Asch and Arwen

Unlike her sister, Asch wasn't so accepting of the chilled fluffy substance. It was odd, and while intriguing and beckoning her to play in the fluff spraying up around her paler twin, Asch wasn't so sure she trusted it just yet. Snorting at it delicately she only lifted her crown when Arwen cried out for her cheerfully, demanding she come and join in her rambunctious play. Giving a hesitant smile in reply, the cocoa child lifted her dancers and plunged forth into the chill of the snowy white wonderland around her. Chasing after her twin, giggling softly, as if afraid to be frowned upon should she show as much free weakness as Arwen. Asch was supposed to protect her, she wasn't allowed to have fun or good around, she had duties regarding her frailer, sickly twin. Her cough had yet to cease, much less dwindle, and as much as it hurt Asch to hide away from the process of making friends and having fun, Mother had burdened her with the task of keeping watch over her twin. So she had left normal life behind, along with her tears, and she gave everything she could never have to her twin. Already so sacrificial so early in life. But maybe just for today she could play.

But just for today.

Her face was glowing in a brilliant smile as she pranced and kicked up the snow around her, sending into a chilly spray. She giggled and kicked up her heels, shrieking gleefully as the frozen substance landed shockingly on her hindquarters. It was blissful, and she loved it. Loved playing with her twin, not worrying about Mother frowning for letting Arwen play in the cold with her illness. No future reprimands to dwell on, only joy. Except Arwen had to yell out a command to some odd creature Asch couldn't see and go running off. Frowning at the sudden distance between them the gold streaked filly hurried after her, imitating the rabbit shed yet to see by hopping over the snow, keeping her eyes on the form of her twin. Whatever it was, she stopped by the thick brush ahead, clearly becoming hesitant over entering the rather intimidating grove. Asch didn't blame her, it wilted her fake confidence just as quickly. But the fearful cries of her voice drove her forward, quickly rushing to her side, panting harshly from exerting herself to arrive faster and console her twin. Caramel cheek pressed to an ivory flank as she struggled to regain her breath, green-flecked golden orbs gazing towards Arwen's hidden eyes.

"S'okay, Wennie, I'm here," she panted softly, giving a bright smile in hopes of cheering her up and calming her fearful screeches. "Mother will find us," she said confidently, nodding her head in a decisive manner. Looking around she frowned fearfully and couldn't contain her shiver, pressing her side to the length of Arwen's. No matter what Arah asked of her, Asch was still but a babe, and she too was scared no matter what she told Arwen. Instead she went for a distraction method. "What did you see?" she queried cheerfully, peering through the underbrush curiously as she lowered her head to the gap the bunny had disappeared into.
