This wasn’t the place he had called home for an entire four seasons. There wasn’t the familiar scent of the Foothills and it’s members. Instead of the Merciful and the Opulent standing before them, there were simply strangers. Betrayal, anger, and distrust struck him all at once. Where was his family? Where was the herd that he had sworn to protect? One of the faces he recognized, Seele, one of the insane mares that had greeted him in the Threshold. The group of madmen had infested his home? What was Father Earth thinking!? No one would be able to sleep soundly at night with serial killers and madmen lurking about. Solace was typically a compassionate and kind individual, but his features were cold as he approached the group, his eyes drifting slowly over each face. One or two were familiar, but none he knew well.
“I am Solace, formerly the Mason of the Foothills. This place may be a remake of my home, I still wish to reside here if you will have me.” His eyes settled upon Midas, his expression softening a bit. For now he would pay no mind to the insane mare, for he wouldn’t be one amongst her numbers. They could tend to their lobotomized zombies, he would give them respect they deserved, but he most definitely wouldn’t consider them family, Solace couldn’t consider bloodthirsty monsters family. “If you’re willing to have me, I would like to request being put under the crafting ranks. Should you not want me, I will willingly go on my way, as I don’t want to cause any trouble… All I want is to be near as possible to the what once was to the place that had been my home.”
