The Boggart had noticed their company, long before the naked eyes of his valiant companion. Winding forward as invisibly as the caress of wind through the mountain-top field itself, Veci found her trailing the sullied, slush track left in his wake. Sliding like a ghost, between the swing of her slim ashen legs, he followed her along until she found his partner and paused to call to out. He’d offered no insight this time to Hector; the mare seemed to be lacking that sinister posture he thought, intrigued to learn her purpose.

With the wind blowing in his favour, the orange giant failed to notice the scuff of ice-blue hooves through the slurry to his rear. Only the flicker of her stark pale frame in the corner of his searching left eye, and the brush of feminine tone against the switch of his ears roused his attention to seek her approach. Curiosity? He considered inwardly, narrowing his eyes and swivelling to face her upon lean, sinewy liver legs. Hector had graced these parts before, and it was certainly not that which had drawn him so far into the hostile northern mountains.

The wind snatched quickly the lazy wilt of his silky, long mane, stirring it into a wildly flapping frenzy. "It did not…" He answered quickly, easily and curtly- finding only the brisk manners of a primed soldier to draw from. Certainly diplomacy was not his forte. Her voice strained through the moaning around them again, to which Hector nodded with much the same courtesy as before. The gesture paused abruptly though as he noted the name of the land from which she claimed to come was unfamiliar. "Throat… Edge… Foothills… Unicorns…" He muttered beneath his breath cautiously to make certain it was not him who had been mistaken. The stallion swayed guardedly, eying her for a little longer- but he could find no hint of malice in her graceful, quite lovely carriage; the complexion masking her young, unflawed face appeared free from the lines of wickedness.

"The Falls?" He asked at last, each shoulder flexing with growing apprehension, not willing to offer his own identity until he was certain Elsa was no foe. Veci’s interest piqued with the rise of his partner’s fierce heart rate, and he wafted backwards and forwards between them, waiting.
