I tilted my head as I listened to the stallion's words. Was he... nervous? Uncomfortable? I took two steps forward, my oldest scar facing him. Why did he glance away from the forest? He wanted to escape me? He started to stutter, stumbling on his words and I raised a 'brow at his behavior. "I don't– I mean, I—" The white owl - Irma? - flew down from the treetops and landed on his withers, and I suddenly remembered her from before. I had seen her before, not very many times, but I had. On the meadow, that lied not so far away from us, right after I had shared my first special moment in my life with Azzaron. She had been on the same place upon Mauja's withers as she was now. The stallion turned his head to look at me and as my eyes met his, I saw something in his eyes. An intense, icy blue glare, as if he was considering something. Considering to run away? "Don't you wan't to stay anymore? I thought we were having such a good time together, a nice little chat between an old King and his ex-subject." My bright eyes darkened, my iris fused into my pupil in a way so it looked like I had no pupils at all. They turned close to black. "I think you should stay some more... Mauja." Starting to become irritated by the fact that he wanted to leave, I whipped my tail hard against my hocks to show him my dislike. "Already tired of conversing with an old subject?" There goes my sanity. I glared at him, all friendliness clearly gone. How I could change in a heartbeat, it was almost a bit scary to me that my fuse had only been cut shorter. "You talked about killing me before... That you had killed me. How was I like, before you killed me?" Another step forward. My rump was basically right in front of his maw before I turned again, whipping my tail as I turned to hopefully smack him a bit in his face. What did I want from him? A little sorry? That would've been nice, of course. A little, tiny sorry for the pain he had caused me and my family. My. Family. I forced my teeth tight together and pinned my ears against my poll in a matter of half of a second when I thought about that. His lies... All of them. To protect me, he had said. He lied to protect me from.. who? "You have revealed rather much to me, today," I whispered, glancing at him with darkened orbs. "Useful information perhaps, further into the future." I smiled, turning my head more his way. "Come with me for a while, to the Hidden Falls, and I won't spill any of your secrets.
