She looked forward to it being that season, when the world was bright with light and joy.
Though ‘warrior’ might not have been her first guess for Parelia, the fact that she showed interest in it was incredibly impressive. It was not for Alysanne, though she had recently taken up lessons so that she might be prepared to defend her home and her family, and she had respect for anyone that chose to follow that line of work. “Yes! We do have an army. If only the world were kind enough that we would not need one. I don’t know who is in charge right now, I think there was going to be a competition?” Here she looked to Brisa, wondering if the white mare was perhaps a little better informed than her. The last she had heard of it was at the herd meeting. “But Kaj used to be among them so he would be able to give you a bit better direction on how to get involved. We can definitely help you with the herbs though! Whenever you’re ready, you can find either one of us. I’ll even be happy to watch Ilios while Brisa shows you all that she knows.”
Green eyes followed Ilios and his movements - picking up on his tired looks. “I think someone needs a nap. There’s a nice little spot not too far in, among the pines. We’ll show you there and you can all rest up.” It is an offer, not a definitive command, and if Parelia had other plans of course it was up to her. They had all had such a long day, Alysanne just wanted their arrival in the Edge to be as smooth as possible.
