"You." Her breath seemed to freeze inside of her lungs and her body became rigid. Now it was her time? Did he expect her to melt into a puddle and start spewing forgiveness for him for everything he had done wrong? For all of the times that he had ignored her? For leaving her with a murderous babysitter that, in many ways, had been more of a father and protector to her than he had ever been? Or Did he expect her to begin apologizing for the hateful things that she had said to him? Things that she had meant with every fiber of her being when she had said them. Neither would happen. Not now. Maybe not ever if he didn't prove to her that he actually wanted to be her father and not some man that had knocked her mother up, the first in a long line of mares and foals. "Just.. to be with you." Snö lifted her head and glared up at the stars and the moon. This had to be some twisted game that the Moon Goddess was playing, the meddlesome bitch. Tears gathered at the corners of her eyes and she blinked them away furiously because she refused to cry in front of Mauja. In all honesty she didn't know if she was angry that it had taken him so long, joyful because he finally wanted her, saddened because she didn't think it would last too long, or disappointed in him for what she perceived as his failures as a parent. There had been one aspect that he had succeeded in and that was being a teacher. He had taught her that even those that were supposed to love you, the ones that you thought would never hurt you were the ones that drove the dagger deepest into your heart. "Why?" She asked. "Why now?" The icy mare continued to stare up at the sky. "You had three years. Why am I important now?" Part of her expected him to run from the questions because running was always easier than answering them. Running was easier than mending something that was broken and they were certainly broken.
