Hazy moonlight filtered down from the overcast sky like a spotlight, causing the alabaster powder to scintillate like a crystalline ballroom. This region was truly beautiful, she thought, though dangerous to the same degree. The frigidity was intense. It permeated the flesh and reached down to the very marrow of the bone. The zephyr hied hastily past her darkened physique, brushing back the thick mantle of ebony piluses to reveal a silvery blue hue. Pale feathers rustled against the wind, frost nearly clinging to each capillary of their structure.

The Sun God was here - somewhere. What a cruel punishment this must be: a creature of fire, warmth and light, confined to the static desolateness of frost and gelidity. Perhaps he deserved it, she mused, for the woe he had inflicted on the mortals, but did they deserve to be waived from the warmth he could yield throughout the time in which is what desired most? It was true, this winter had been more harsh than most. It made the celestial dame thankful to call the desert her home. She yearned to be there now, to escape this coldness, but she was searching for him.

She wished to speak with him, for despite his current lack of power, she was still his Oracle, and she couldn't withstand the stab of curiosity which propelled her onward. And so she searched, perhaps foolishly, hoping to find him somewhere among the seemingly endless dunes of snow.
