 As the queen continued on with separating more vines, she began to hum a soft song, trying to distance herself from the pain that still ate at her heart. Each vine was a struggle, but in a way the actions were almost therapeutic. Each vine is like part of her damaged soul, tangled up in a web of hurt and fright and terror and evil. But each pulls makes it a little looser, each tug takes out some of the confusion and straightens out the missense chaos. So she carries on bravely, tearing and vines, trying so hard to straighten out her own sorrows and troubles. In some ways, these moments of aloneness with her thoughts had always worked for her in her times of need, despite the fact that she had never really enjoyed them. After all, what had her time alone been when she had wandered here from Avalon? Nothing but endless fields and trees, nothingness filling the time between there and here, but she had arrived Avalon healthy and happy and with a new lease on life. But the therapy is interrupted by the entrance of a shell filled with sap, delivered by none other than her teacher. Curious, curious, she thinks as she looks at it, wondering what possible use this very sticky-looking sap could possibly play in this rope making venture, she otherwise just smiles at him. The question must be implied, as she sends her nose forward to sniff at the stuff but declines to taste it. What mysteries does this sap hold, and how will it help them in rope making?
