The Tallsun warmth beats down on your back, and the tall grass sways around you. You are napping in the summer sun, and with your legs curled under you and with your head tucked neatly beneath your wing, you have been sleeping soundly too. Normally, you wouldn’t take to the ground so readily—your large wings make it especially difficult to rise quickly—but you went for an early morning flight again to practice the maneuvers you have been teaching yourself, and you are exhausted. The wind was unusually choppy for the season, and you had to cut your session short when a sudden flurry nearly threw you into a cliff. To your tired eyes, the tall grass seemed like a good place to rest your weary body. The long stalks were tall enough to hide you…right?
Perhaps they have hidden you too well, however, because not three hours into your nap, you are awakened by a muffled thump that sounds like it originated about fifty yards to your right. Jerked out of a dream about Th’orqui, your grey eyes fly open and you scramble to your feet, slipping and sliding as your ungainly wings snap open and flap uselessly, trying to keep your balance. WHAT WAS THAT?! Not bothering to look back, you streak across the field, making for the sky. Your wings, so heavy and stiff just hours earlier, are electric with adrenaline. They pump open and closed, sending you skyward, but a sudden blast of wind throws you off course and you veer to the side, tumbling back to the earth. Luckily, you are only a few feet off of the ground and your precious wings are not crushed beneath you, but your fall has left you winded and lying in the grass once more. What a way to wake up.

OOC: Super excited for this! Pro tip: if he realizes that it’s her when she's flailing around and happens to call her by name, this will give her the best chance of actually turning around instead of trying to run off again xD
